Disappointing
I wish I got a chance to use this water bottle. It seems like it would have kept water cold for long periods of time, which is what I wanted it for. I like to keep an extra bottle or two of water in my car for after a long hike. The first one I received, the bottom of the bottle was half way off the bottle. The adhesive used to attach it every fully dried and leaked ALL over my hands. I figured this was just a one off, so asked for another one. Unfortunately, it appears to be a flaw in design. The second one I got also had the base half way off. The glue was dry on this one, but the bottom kept falling off and any insulation was gone.

Huge, gallon size, insulated water jug by XBOTTLE
This thing is huge! I'm looking at it on the counter and it's just mammoth size. It has quite a stately presence and a little bit intimidating! Well joking aside, it still remains huge. Now that can be a good thing, 128oz good. It seems fairly well insulated. It keeps ice cubes and cold water for some period of time. I haven't tried anything hot in it so far so I can't speak to that yet. The mouth of the bottle has me a bit confused as to what the designers were going after. It has a screw of top or cap. That's a positive. It can be used as a cup for drinking however the bottle has no pour spout or pump or way to get the beverage out without taking off the top cup, then the screw on top that fits under the screw on cap has to come off. I think that is the seal that leaks a little. Then after you remove those two items, there is another screw off screen type cover to come off. It seems a little redundant to me. I wish there could have been a more direct, easier way to access your drink. Still not sure what they were trying to achieve here. It has "Bottled Joy" written on the outside of the gallon jug. It has a handle you can grab to carry it. It came with two holes to connect a carrying strap to, but no strap was provided. The whole thing is kind of an enigma. It's good for what it is but it could definitely use some improvements. The metal construction seems sturdy enough, but just don't drop it. You'll end up with dents or a totally compromised water container. The weight alone, if you accidentally dropped it, could render it unusable. I'll give it 4 stars because it does a really good job at some things but also could use some refining to be more user friendly. 4 stars.

Massive Bottle - Good Insulation
I have several Hydroflask metal bottles that I use on a daily basis, but I was looking for something quite a bit larger with good temperature control for increasing my water intake; enter this beast. Lets start by just acknowledging how big 128oz/1 gallon is; this bottle is over a foot tall and about 6 inches in diameter. It's massive, so plan ahead for storage in a cabinet. The bottle includes a number of attachments, including a cup on the top, a cap, and then a sort of screen top. The screen top and cap are required to seal the bottle (they screw together, and only the screen screws into the bottle itself), but the cup can be omitted. The two required parts come with robust silicone seals and there are no leaks in using the bottle. I assume the screen piece is there if one is doing an infusion type water to prevent pouring fruit chunks.Insulation wise the bottle is not quite as efficient as the hydroflasks I have which routinely manage to maintain cold water for 36-48 hours if sealed, but this still managed 24+ without much difficulty. Durability is fair with an all metal construction, though much like any metal bottle I can see this getting dented easily in a drop between the weight and increased size that leaves the body unreinforced (a tragedy that already struck one hydroflask I own).Overall, I give this bottle an A-. Insulation could be improved, and the decision to require a two-piece cap system is a bit questionable (I'd like to omit the screen ideally), but in all this bottle performs well and seems durable for it's size. The included cup add on is a nice perk, while also being able to be left at home if not needed.

Keeps liquids ice cold for days
I love the large capacity of this insulated container. It keeps ice for days. I was very impressed with it. What was I not impressed with? the seal leaks. It also has some strange lid design and since it came with no instructions I'm not sure what the purpose of the different tiers of the lid is. I can speculate what it does but it would have been nice if it came with some instructions. This was strictly a container. It has no pour spout no drink spout nothing it's just insulated bottle and a weird lid that looks like part of it can be used to strain ice cubes or something from going into your cup when pouring from the thermos.

XBOTTLE Gallon Water Bottle Insulated - 128oz Stainless Steel. Nice big bottle.
XBOTTLE Gallon Water Bottle Insulated - 128oz Stainless SteelThe XBOTTLE one gallon water bottle is a big and fairly heavy unit to pack. Figure one gallon is about 8 pounds plus the weight of the bottle itself. The bottle is well built and you can pack a lot of what ever liquid you prefer in it. Would have been great to have a strap to use on this but not included with the bottle. There is a place on the bottle to add some type of strap for use. The two-part lid is a bit odd and the plastic almost a screen is good if you needed to strain something you were filling it with. Overall good product and does keep stuff cold or hot for a good amount of time. Happy with the Xbottle water bottle.

Doesn't stay cold 48 hours
I ordered this for my husband to take on the truck. As summer comes, his half gallon water jug wasn't enough water. It keeps water cold for 24 hours but not 48 hours. He wishes the top had a spout to pour instead of unscrewing the lid. He fills his water bottle throughout the day from this mug. Overall, it's a good water jug, maybe a bit pricey.

Huge, well made, keeps things cold
I really like this gallon insulated water bottle. It is just massive, which is perfect because I only have to fill it once a day instead of filling the small ones over and over. It definitely keeps things cold. My water stays cold all day. It’s well made allowing for a leak free water bottle. It has a place for a strap, but it doesn’t come with one, and it really needs it. I recommend this product.
