What's the expression? Buy once, cry once? That's what I thought about when I initially purchased one of these dehumidifiers for my residence a couple of years back. It has worked so well that I recently purchased a second unit for a second basement at my property. Simply put, this unit is terrific. The built-in pump and ease of use are my favorite features. The pump is very strong and able to pump vertically for quite a distance which gives it much more versatility than other units, especially those that have hose-drains that are gravity-based. It came with plenty of hosing as well. Prior, I had to place a different unit high up on a piece of furniture in order to access a drain pump on an AC unit, whereas this unit can simply sit on the floor beside it and easily pumps the water vertically. Additionally, just pressing the purge button, and immediately seeing the unit expel large volumes of water, is an easy way to be sure the unit is removing moisture from the air. The unit is ready to use right out of the packaging which is well designed as it just lifts off the unit where it is. (Like anything with a condenser, it should sit upright for a day after delivery in case it was laid on it's side during transit.) Just connect the hose, set the desired humidity level, and you're in business. The wheels and the handle make it very easy to relocate if desired. After owning one of these - now two - I would not purchase one of the many smaller cheaper ones that seem designed to expire in ways I could not repair. The fan is pretty quiet as well, given the substantial amount of air it moves. The filter is very easy to remove and clean if it's in a dusty basement environment like mine. I never thought I'd spring for the expense of such a unit but I have no doubt that, in the long run, I've saved money and solved my damp-basement(s) issue for the long term. It's doing the job I needed multiple less expensive units for and seems built to last far longer. I will note that I also emailed the vendor with a question and quickly received a courteous and detailed reply. I am delighted with my purchase and have no hesitations about recommending this product.

On July 1, 2024 I purchased a VP170 with a pump for my home basement. After over five years of purchasing smaller units at the "big box" store for them to barely be able to keep up and then stop working or break, I was in the market for a bigger, and more quality unit that I could truly depend on for the future. The unit was exactly what I needed and worked great. It was not loud at all and controlled the moisture in my basement very quickly. Our basement is approximately 2,900 sq.ft. and currently is unfinished and without an HVAC system. This is truly a robust unit that will work in both residential and a commercial environment. As a matter of fact, after my use of this unit, I recommended and our church purchased one for basement and has worked great since instillation. The unit worked perfectly for the first four months. I then noticed the humidity in my basement began to increase while the display on the unit remained low. Obviously the unit was not working correctly. After attempting all of the troubleshooting options in the manual without a solution, on November 4, 2024 I emailed customer service to report the problem. Within less than 24 hours I received a reply email. The email asked for basic information about the product and attempted to remedy the issue. After a few emails of troubleshooting solutions and things to check, the company had no hesitation in replacing the unit. I was kept up to date the entire time with the process and provided a FedEx tracking number once the unit shipped. Additionally, the customer service personnel even emailed asking that I confirm when the product arrived in an extra effort to ensure I received a replacement unit. On November 14, 2024 a brand new unit arrived at my house. I cannot comment enough on the high level of customer service I received from this company. They made the entire process smooth and painless. Once it was determined the unit was not capable of a simple repair there was never any pushback in making this right. In addition, every email was answered timely and typically in far less than 24 hours. When I say superb customer service, this may well be some of the best online customer service I have ever received with a company. If you are in the market for a truly great dehumidifier that does exactly what the company advertises it to do, then consider no other units. While this unit is more expensive than smaller ones from the local hardware stores, this one will absolutely keep up with demand and truly control the humidity. In addition, should you have any trouble at all, this company stands by with top-tier customer service. They are ready to help and resolve the issue completely to the customer's satisfaction.

This is a fantastic dehumidifier! I have a chronically damp basement and crawlspace that I've tried to cure with a selection of dehumidifiers over the years. None of them were up to the task until I purchased the Moiswell 240. Wow, what a difference! I immediately noticed a dramatic difference. It easily removed over 10 Gallons of water a day until it brought the humidity under control. It was so effective that I decided to purchase a second unit for use in the basement area. At first I had a problem with the new unit but their excellent customer service team solved that in short order! Both units a performing perfectly and I couldn't be more pleased with them and the entire Moiswell team. The fact that it has an automatic purge pump means that it never needs emptying and eliminating the need for a gravity drain allows you to place it wherever it's needed. If you need a dehumidifier capable of handling a large area and high humidity, buy this unit. You will not be disappointed.

I have complained. I have received a full refund, but this item is still advertised for sale one Amazon UK. This is an American piece of electrical equipment. It is designed and built in the USA. It ships from the USA. It has an American plug and American voltage system. I have been told it is possible to covert to the UK system, but that would invalidate the guarantee. I hadn't realised when I purchased that it shipped from Indianapolis, which should have given me a clue. There are UK machines available, so seek elsewhere.
