Overpriced, Hot Garbage
I don’t know what went wrong with BlackVue’s product direction recently, but MAN they have gone downhill. For context, I have used an earlier generation, two channel BlackVue dashcam, as well as a more recent Thinkware dash cam as well. This Blackvue is the worst I have ever owned. Here is why:-BULKY CHONK. Theoretically, we are supposed to be getting better at miniaturizing things right? This camera is freaking honking huge, I’m talking more than double the size of my original two channel Blackvue from about five years ago, and about 50% larger than we think where dash cam I bought two years ago. There is no reason for this enormous camera size, it looks bulky and awful on your windshield.-BATTERY HOG. This stupid camera eats my car’s battery so fast (even AFTER I emailed their support team to ask how I can help minimize battery consumption and got an extremely unhelpful reply) and this is by far the worst thing about the camera. For context, I go for about a 20 mile drive every evening. Without fail, the stupid camera notifies me ~12 hours later saying the voltage levels on the battery are so low the camera will soon shut off. I drive a 2023 vehicle with <5k miles, so there is NO reason the battery should not last longer than 12 hours. The battery consumption on this behemoth of a camera is simply pathetic, and there are seemingly no settings that will extend the battery life to a reasonable level.-DATA HOG. I opted to subscribe for Blackvue’s free year of LTE service. Unfortunately, again with the most conservative settings applied per their unhelpful support team, the stupid camera consumes data so fast that you run out within days. Fortunately, the cameras still retains its core functionality (as long as it hasn’t rained the battery dry yet) and incidents are stored locally, but you will only get push notifications for a couple days before your data is exhausted, forcing you to either upgrade to a larger plan or sacrifice the ability to remotely connect to your camera. Finally for context, this camera is not on my daily driver, so I am not constantly driving it and using up all the data. However, the car is consistently driven every day or every other day, so the battery is not just sitting idle for weeks at a time. After a few months of ownership, I have decisively concluded that this is by far the worst Dashcam I have ever owned, and I likely will never buy another BlackVue product because of it. I’ve self-installed all the dashcams I’ve ever used, and none have had the hassles and inconveniences of this one. While the app function and connectivity is fairly consistent, the battery consumption and data functionality are far more important as the device is for accident monitoring, not content creation.I strongly recommend looking at other options before buying this dashcam. I give it a 3/10 for ease of install and app quality, but the battery and data-draining nature combined with its massive heft lead me to believe Blackvue is going in totally the wrong direction with their flagship products, and I would not recommend this dashcam to anyone.

It’s the worst
This camera is absolutely the worst, and I don’t know why it is the most expensive on the market, it’s blurry, not clear vision, it’s so complicated to operate, and it requires SIM cards that doesn’t even last one week,So I returned it, and I went through hell to get the refund back. And I canceled the subscription. . and then after one month, I’m charged for monthly subscription again.Avoid this one and use wolf box

The best dashcam I've tried....
This is the best dashcam I've experienced. I upgraded not too long ago and was generally pleased with it but then I tried this. It's such an improvement it's not even funny. Everything is better--it looks better, it's easier to set up and use, the camera quality is significantly better and it even has built in 4G LTE connectivity. The last point is huge--even the best dashcams have a pretty wonky interface when it comes to getting footage from the cam to the cloud. This one is literally 'plug and play'.It has some more tricks--if you get the app you've got the ability to communicate with the driver (assuming it isn't you). There's a speaker and mic built in to the unit so it's easy to hear and be heard no matter what end of the conversation you're on. You can set up push notifications to your phone, get a 'driver's eye view' and access all of the backed up data with the app. I appreciate the fact that the manufacturer doesn't tie you to some expensive proprietary data connection--I just put in a SIM card from my existing cellphone account and I was all set.The cams--front and rear--have excellent clarity, a great field of view and are powered by Sony Starvis sensors. You can even use the dashcam as a wifi hotspot for up to five devices. You can buy cheaper webcams but they offer nowhere near the quality and functionality of this one. Highly recommended!
