Purchased to replace a broken original spigot on a blue Coleman 5-gallon jug. This fits like the original and works well. Lasted most of the summer with heavy usage (primary drinking water vessel at camp). The plastic feels slightly different from the original. Happy with it so far--certainly better than getting a new jug!

Bought to replace a broken one on a Coleman 5 Gal Jug #5620 After reading the bad reviews I almost didn't purchase this product. In fact I bought 2 different "Coleman Compatible" Spigots first, and neither of them fit. I then "settled" for this one. Now I wish I'd have bought the two pack and saved myself a few bucks because I am going to get another for my other jug. It came assembled, fits well, without leaks, opens and closes easier that the Coleman one on my other jug, and feels stronger. It also has a stop so you know when it is fully open. Not sure why it got bad reviews, but I recommend this product.

Tried 2 of them, both expensive and both leaked from the cap and the valve. Don't waste your money.

It's proprietary and is what it is. It works. But you need to fill the empty space of the valve handle with plastic epoxy to make it robust. You'll twist the handle clean off the valve otherwise, eventually.

I bought a 5 gal jug and immediately broke the spigot.This spigot is exactly the same as I broke. Now I can use my water jug again.

At first everything seems okay, but these cheap china clones are made of a hard abs plastic with too much play between the valve core and the valve body. This leads to water leaking between the outer valve core and the body as you can see in the pictures. Tried both spigots with one leaking from top and the other from the bottom. It is a slow leak but will leave a puddle after 30 minutes or so. If you never leave your jugs on their side for easy pouring then this issue won’t matter, hence the two stars rather than one. Ironically the “hard to turn” original Coleman spigot never leaked here because the tolerances were properly designed, but it lead to the poorly reinforced valve handle snapping off. Why Coleman doesn’t fix this issue seems like penny pinching rather than doing the right thing and updating the design and tooling to make the product last. Bummer because the jug is very durable and people want it to last. There was another oddity I noticed with the china clones. The core is not designed to have the full flow available because the exit hole is not aligned with the body when fully open, unsure why they couldn’t get that right.

Bought 2 and both leak. Can't find the correct spigot with the right threads thickness, I may have to find my own solution that doesn't leak from the lack of course threads or the terrible spigot itself.
