Scotch Box Sealing Tape Dispenser H180, Brown/grey, 50 mm

After buying a pack of 3m Scotch packaging tape rolls, I found them awkward to use without considerable waste. Since purchasing this dispenser my usage problem has ceased and wastage has been eliminated. I have to admit that it took a little practice initially to perfect the technique, but, having persevered, find this dispenser excellent. It takes the hard work out of sealing boxes for storage without mess and frustration and would be very handy to have if you were moving home. It is well designed, well made and should prove durable. Great for domestic use, but probably indispensable for professional packaging establishments.

I previously had the rapesco gun that looked very similar. I thought it was okay, and was disappointed when after a year I dropped it and broke off the handle. With a bit more cash in my pocket I thought I'd try this one from a better brand expecting very little difference in performance.How wrong I was! Tension control in this gun is far better, giving a better tape seal, and the blade must be sharper as it cuts off much more easily and cleanly. For the sake of a few extra pounds this is more than worth the extra cost.

Works well once you get the hang of it - the only very slight difficulty is when threading a new roll of tape on - the guide bar could use a more accessible trigger.

This is a decent tape machine/sticker on-er for the money. So far no problems with jamming and tape flipping with decent tape. There is a knack to using these things, and once you’ve mastered that then you should have no bother. Buying good quality tape makes a huge difference - Lidls brown packing tape works well in it, but Lidls clear tape has been a nightmare as it leaves sticky residue on the non sticky side, which in turn jams the tape machine.

Does the job but it doesn’t always cut the tape first time. It’s not the best I’ve used and hurts your hand after a while. Wouldn’t buy again or recommend unfortunately

Just slot the roll tape on, press edges of box together and tape. Easy and quick to use when moving house, pleased I bought this.

I’ve used load of Tape Guns in the past, working in a packaging warehouse. This is the one that I would choose time and time again.As usual 3M delivers a great quality, reliable product.

This did the job well, but the removals tape kept slipping away from where it was fixed, resulting in the tape screwing up on numerous occasions. Perhaps there's a setting for expanding the piece of the dispenser which holds the tape in place, but I'm unsure.
