Not fully tested
I have only tested the device with simple translation from Polish to English with a friend (native Pole). It seems to work accurately. However, I still need to try it in the working situation in a foreign country.I find it difficult to use and trying out other functions, I have found the downloaded instructions could be made clearer. I think the device will prove to be good value for money once I have mastered its full potential. This jury is still reaching its final verdict.

Product came locked.
I have purchased a new device. With a screen protection sticker still on it. With box that wasn't sealed. Device that was out of charge (not that device can't go out of charge from spending long time non-purchased, sitting in warehouse), with PASSWORD lock once turned on! Either this device has been recently returned and not inspected by the seller, or I'm a magician, and I've managed to set a 4-digit password code by simply turning the device on. I have purchased a NEW device, and instead I have received a second hand one, that is unusable, since you can't find documentation of how to factory reset it. Disappointed to say the least.

Confidence booster
Langogo Summit helped me to gain confidence in my ability to communicate in real-life situations when planning my trip to Madeira.I have started learning Portuguese recently and have become aware of my serious language barrier. Langogo helped me to overcome the anxiety because it does translate straight away from/to Portuguese, thus helping me to enjoy my trip much more.

Clever tech of questionable value
This is a pleasure to unbox. It's presented like an I Phone, with its clean white rectangular box, and rectangular flat screen product inside. It's a tad chunkier than an I phone, but very light and comfortable to hold. It appears to have a built on screen protector, is very easy to set up (less than 5 minutes) and has a crystal clear display. So as for functionality, the translate function is nifty, translate your two languages to translate too and from, speak into the mic, await result. Nifty. However I found that it would do this once and then repeat what I said to myself in English. I had to continually go back to the translation menu to reselect options. Then for the more sophisticated features, you need to pay a subscription, app based service, although you are given a limited allowance of free use. My issue is with this costing what it does, piling on an additional subscription fee is a bit much.

Put's the words right into my mouth. An excellent learning tool while on the go.
The list record of the words searched for is particularly useful for learning and referring back to.

A really intuitive device for the traveller taking notes.
The media could not be loaded. I originally purchased this for a friend who has a need to carry out regular translations into a particular language, but has a limited grasp of that language. Its a pretty impressive device, packing in real time translating of audio into a wide variety of languages (and dialects), picture translation and audio transcribing. Its about the size of a small phone with a nice responsive touchscreen and a built in speaker that is very clear.Translation is simple enough - select the language you wish to translate to and hold the side button in while enunciating clearly and the Summit translates it on on screen and reads it back.I checked this against another translation service and it was very accurate. Its ideal for dictation too as you can store hours of meeting notes that, with a free noota.ai account, can get transcribed in the cloud for you.You get a sim built in (and you can add your own if you like) for net access around the world, but there is wifi too, so even at home you can carry on using the device to the full. The device is really solid and well made and comes with a screen protector too - I know you can get back panels to protect it from another website, but a case would be lovely! Its a device that has a niche market, but as a dictation machine with powerful translation capabilities, its a really useful tool for the right person.Incidental use while travelling on holiday or business will be great too as you can ask the device a question then show it to someone who speaks the language for assistance.Highly recommended.

Very impressive language translator
I was dubious about how well this translation device would work when compared to using google translate on your phone but was pleasantly surprised at how well and easy it is to use and can see why people would prefer to use a separate device like this when going on there travels. As we leave the EU we now start to incur roaming charges again when travelling around Europe, these charges can turn out to be quite expensive and you could quickly run up a large bill. To use google translate via your smartphone you need to connect to the internet and therefore will get charged. This device has a designated SIM card, so on arrival at the country that your travelling to you can often pick up data sims for very reasonable prices at the airport or local shopping mall. This then can be used without running the risk of high bills when you return from your trip.It also can connect to WiFi and if you have a mobile operator that doesn’t charge data roaming you could use your own phone as a WiFi hotspot and again no need for a SIM card. The device itself is extremely well designed and made with a case of metal and strong plastic, a rear camera and 4 microphones on the front screen with further ones located at the top and bottom of the translator it can pick up audio easily. It runs via an Android platform which is very easy to navigate through and within seconds of turning on the device you could strike up a conversation with the foreign language of your choice, (104), to choose from and quickly get the required translation.I was impressed with the camera, taking a picture of text, (camera has to be in the vertical plain for it to work), it translates into the language of choice.I’m definitely taking this with me when I travel to Mexico next year as this will make site seeing a lot more interesting as you can ask questions that potentially the guide would not have been able to understand.Highly recommend.
