It has a metal base (heavy, stable) with intricate metal open-weave cylinder which has crystal glass inserts wired in place. I have tried several different light bulbs and they all look good (just different effect). I chose GE Auradescent 25 watt decorative light bulb  . This light generates a large amount of reflective light for a low wattage bulb (photo). We have lamp on timer and use for night light in our dining room. Looks very elegant!

I fell in love onc I saw this lamp. It is so elegant and shiny. It gives you cheerful feeling bu just looking at it. I have it in my bedroom on the nightstand. The packaging was really good that it came out impeccable. The light was not included, so I used daylight lamp because I like it than the soft light. It illuminates the room very well for reading or so before sleeping. The silver color is really elegant and prestine. In addition, the cord is long enough to put it to a far outlet. Strongly recommended.

Gorgeous lamp! You won’t regret buying this one! You can use up to a 40 watt bulb and I was shocked at how bright it is. Someone mentioned that it is cheaply made! Nope! My cat jumped at it and knocked it off table day 1 and not one bead came loose and it works perfectly. So gorgeous I ordered another! It’s been almost 4 months and I love it even more.

A perfect combination of inexpensive materials that create a look of luxury. This lamp let's off a strong light without being harsh and illuminates the entire corner of my room. I've added a picture so you can see what it looks like when it's off. The clear beads glisten on the wall during the day when my windows open, letting in natural light. I would happily purchase a set and this would make an excellent lamp for a bathroom night stands or even a barhroom.

this side table lamp is a great value for the price. For this price, if you think you are going to get a fancy heavy lamp, you are mistaken. This lamp however, does have good weight in the base, as well as nice decorative "shade" which was a bit surprising honestly. Lamp works very well and looks good also. a plus is that you can put smart light bulb and the plastic "crystals" actually look great. Overall, a great value.

I wasn't sure what to expect even after reading the positive reviews. However, when these lamps arrived I immediately prided myself on making such an awesome choice. It's beautiful, classy and not over-the-top in any way. It complements our bedroom furniture perfectly and the crystal gives a nice glow although be careful not to get bulbs that are too bright (unless that's what you prefer) because the crystals actually make the bulbs seem even brighter.

It looks like a beautiful lamp and I was excited when I took it out of the box. However, placing it on the table, I noticed it stood at an angle, as if something was tilted. Upon further inspection, I noticed one of the 3 bars on the bottom of the lamp is broken, causing the lamp shade to tilt when upright. Unfortunately, this tilt is very obvious regardless of what angle I place it at on my desk. I had to return it. If it wassn't broken, I'm sure this would have made a gorgeous addition to my desk.

This bedside lamp definitely works for me. It is just the right size for a bedside table. I use a 13 W spiral bulb in it and its large enough to read by. When not lit or being used, it looks nice just sitting on the table as well. All the crystals were in good condition when it arrived. I like the switch on the cord so I don't have to get up and turn a larger lamp off once I'm settled and under the covers.
