So, I've been a little hesitant in upgrading from my U1000, but at the moment when I accidentally killed that camera - I went for the U3000, deciding to ignore the reviews. I am glad I did.I've been using it for just over a week now, night vision for parking recording only, and its been nothing but great dashcam. I love the new motion capture functionality of it, where when radar detects it stores a low bitrate version. The sensitivity of the actual g-sensor is much improved, no longer registering loud exhausts as events, even when being set to highest. I use a Cellink Neo 9+ battery with this cam, and after a few days, the battery only dropped to 90% so its super efficient - by far best parking mode camera I have come across. Stationary, the super night vision is superb quality. There is graininess to the footage, as people say, but its not as bad as they say it is.On the continuous recording side, quality is excellent in my opinion, plates are easy to read at lower speeds (under 30mph) both front and back. Without night vision, the footage is quite comparable to the U1000, but sharper.So far, I am very happy with it. They could drop the price a little, it is quite an expensive cam, but its the only one that has parking mode functionality developed to this level, which is what I want a dashcam for. I will keep updating this review as time goes on.

I have had two Thinkware Dash Cams over recent years and the quality and support with speed camera updates is faultless. Put one in the partner's car as well. Highly Recommended. Top tip when this model arrives the speed camera audible warning is off, you need to download the file from Thinkware and put it in a directory (see notes) on the SD card. This is also how you do an update.

This camera is useless. You can get better quality video for much less and better technology for half the price. The camera is not able to connect to the Internet on your phone (hotspot) and due to this you’re unable to connect to your phone.Google “ Can’t register device or barcode “ for u3000 thinkware. And you will see all the issues around the device. You can thank me later.There are no instruction manuals nor is there the complete hardwiring attachments.Do not buy this camera please trust me on this.

My unit keeps turning on and off on a drive every minutes. First week it worked fine, now does this. Ive ended up unplugging it, and so a £400 safety device isnt being used.Ive tried to contact thinkware and no response to fix this issue. Please get in contact with me thinkware!

Camera did not connect to Internet so couldn't use cloud services spent weeks with thinkware customer service to resolve after 3 weeks to be told return it back to amazon as they cant fix it
