"After-Market" Tensioner Pain
My seasoned automotive mechanic analyzed the individual parts for installing this timing belt. He determined that the spring-loaded pin inside the tensioner was too long, maybe a quarter of an inch longer than the original tensioner. That tiny difference made it extremely difficult for the technician to install it. My technician says that he will NEVER make a purchase from this "after-market" vendor again, because the tiny difference cost him valuable and required extra man power to finish this ordinarily simple job. The longer tensioner pin turned this job into a mechanic's nighmate.

Buy this kit one year ago, ride the car less than 12k miles, today the belt is broken.
My engine is Gone. Commuting less than 30 miles every day, and driving at low pace.

Decent quality
The water pump had a flaw in the casting but I used a small grinder and repaired it. Everything seems to be running smooth. The timing belt didn't have the cam sprocket markings on it so it was a little tricky lining them up but my 2008 Subaru Legacy Non-turbo is running very well.

DO NOT BUY
Drove about 70 miles on my new timing kit when my engine shut off while driving 65mph. the timing tensioner sheared off and trashed my engine. bent all the valves. It was torqued to spec, 30ftlbs. Cost me over $800 in parts so far. Do yourself a favor and buy the made in japan OEM AISIN kit. I tried contacting amazon and they would only refund me for the kit when the faulty part trashed my whole engine. do not buy this product.

Timing belt lacks line up marks
Original and aftermarket belts normally have lineup marks to provide assurance of proper installation. This belt does not. Requires extra caution to be certain you don't ruin this engine with interfering valves.

Tensioner is Crap
Wish I read the reviews before buying. The tensioner spring is too long and made installation impossible. Fought it for 6 hours until my son read the past reviews which indicated a continuous problem. We replaced the tensioner with the old one and had immediate success.
