My mother bought this projector for me 2 years ago when my first baby was born. I wasn't really sure what it was going to to considering my mother is the gadget queen. I tried it over and over again the first three months and had no results. The problem was my daughter couldn't really focus on it until she was three months old. After that the projector did something nothing else could; help her fall asleep by herself. I would shine the projector at the ceiling, put it on the 10 minute cycle and like clockwork she would fall asleep. This didn't happen over night though. It took about a month of being dilligent. Two years later she still uses it with the more advanced pictures. I had another baby 3 months ago and am going to start using the projector to help her learn how to fall asleep. The projector comes with different slides for different ages. Some have shapes, other have sheep and rocketships and suns and birds. There is one blank one so you can make your own slide. You can shine the projector on the wall or ceiling or floor. When you turn the top of the projector it can focus in and out. The only two downfalls are the amount of batteries you go through considering I have used it every noght for the 28 months. But can you put a price tag on putting your child to bed peacefully? The other downfall is that the projector can only be used in complete darkness otherwise other lights interfere and the picture won't show up. There have been ZERO mecdhanical problems with the projector and it has been dropped, thrown and kicked. You know, the terrible twos. I have given this as a gift at the last 5 baby showers I have been to and I will keep giving it as a gift. This product is a life saver and I would reccomend to every mom.
