Rear View Park Assist Camera EB5Z-19G490-AA Fit for Ford Explorer 2011-2015, Far Infrared Wide Angle HD Night Vision Waterproof Rearview Backup Reverse Safty Cameras

The radio screen on our 2014 started occasionally tossing a message on the screen telling us to contact dealer and that the camera wouldn't work. After a while the message became pretty constant everytime we put the car in reverse. Did a You Tube search and saw a ton of videos that talked about cleaning contacts and the like. Ford wanted something like $500 to fix the problem. I took a chance and found this at Amazon so I ordered it. Watched a video on how to replace the camera myself and spent the 30 minutes to complete the install. The install was pretty simple and the new camera solved the problem right away. The picture seems a bit sharper than the original as well. The only (slightly) negatives I can share is that occasional it takes a moment to switch back the radio screen when I shift to drive and that the little magnifying glass button in the upper right corner does nothing when pushed in my car.

The back up camera in my wife's Ford Edge quit working. I ordered this one. It was easy to install. Seems to be of good quality. It has a wider view angle and better picture than the original

While this camera works with our 2012 Lincoln MKX to include keeping the proximity lines AND adding steering guidelines it IS NOT a drop in replacement. The connector on the original camera is straight out the back but this one is 90 degrees. I knew that before I bought it but couldn’t find a OEM camera other than from a Ford dealer for $300 so I was hoping for the best. While it will fit with the original bracket I had to cut the wire harnesses connector so it could clear the mounting bracket and fit on the new camera. However once powered up the view was rotated 90 degrees. I tried resetting the camera with Forscan but no luck. I settled with physically rotating the camera 90 degrees so the view was correct and cut the bracket so the wire harness connector would connect to the camera. I probably could have avoided cutting the connector if had did Forscan first but oh well. If you do cut the connector take your time so you don’t cut the lock mechanism or the white bit that contains the wires. Even with the cut bracket the mount still holds the camera securely. Pictures are attached showing what I cut, the original camera, the view from the new camera, and it mounted in the car. I’m pleased so far and gave it 3 stars because of the mods I had to do to make it work.

I took my 2019 Ford Flex SEL to my Ford Dealer, (which was under warranty); to have them fix the upside down image on the back-up camera display.They held my car for thee full days, supplied me will a cheapo, (non-ford); sub-compact loaner car and then after three days they told me this, "Can you check back in about six months as we should have the camera in stock by then". At that point I decided to do It myself and I did it easily with this camera for under $50.00This camera has a much wider field of vision, snapped into place and works better than the factory camera.

Camera works but picture is upside downunless you flip where it is mounted and make your own mounts or just silicone it in .also the active parking lines do not workeven if you turn active parking lines off it still displays a line in the middle

The part number is right, the hardware fits right, image quality is good, but...The camera (wide) angle is not correct and the guides are off with the perspectiveMy guides were not active but now they are (nice), but they are misleading because of the different angleALSO if I start the car with the wheels turned, the car registers it as ZERO position, so the guides move more in one direction than the otherI tried calibrating it with FORSCAN but no changes
