A nice, basic headlamp
Ah, who doesn’t like flashlights and headlamps. And there are so many of them out there: from tiny, minimal output 10 lumen lights just to push back the darkness, to high lumen monsters that’s like staring at the sun. The lights of yesteryear with their pound of six-volt lantern battery to the 6-D cell 2-foot-long Mag-Lights are pretty much long gone.In their place are LED flashlights and headlamps with variable intensities and mostly rechargeable with the ubiquitous lithium 18650 removable and rechargeable battery. Not all, of course. In particular, the smaller lights will be powered by something different and the batteries are less commonly removable or rechargeable. There are a few characteristics of common headlamps and flashlights that I particularly favor and some that I do not.First in the favorable category is variable intensity that can be easily switched. Some lights have 3 or 4 levels. The Vitoki has several settings using two buttons. The LED light itself seems to have just a high and a higher intensity. There is also a side light which does not vary in intensity. The intensity of these modern lights is most often spoken of in terms of lumens, which is, according to Wikipedia, is the amount of light a source emits, and not something that is at all easy to measure and, hence, difficult to verify. There is no mention of a lumen output rating for the LED light but I can say it is quite bright. I take as my level of comparison my years old Fenix headlamp which is 900 lumens at its brightest. The Vitoki is about the same as my Fenix at its highest intensity. You switch the intensity, and as I said, there are only two, with a single click which also turns the unit on. Unfortunately, the third click turns on the strobe. It does seem, however, that holding down the button allows you to go back in intensity. At the highest setting, for instance, you can avoid the strobe by holding down the button which then goes to the lower intensity. One more click turns the unit off. I don’t think I saw that documented anywhere. The second button turns on the side light and then subsequently clicks goes through varying steady and flashing Red and Blue LEDs. The sidelight projects only marginally and would be only useful for close work but it’s not very bright even for that.Second want to have feature is a removable battery. It’s really convenient to slip in a fresh battery if I need to after using a headlamp for several hours. The battery in the Vitoki is not removable which is a bummer.Third is for the flashlight or headlamp to have a charging port. More and more lights are coming with USB-C ports and they are light-years easier than mini-USB. The Vitoki has a USB-C charging port as well as a USB-A port for charging things like a phone. I did not see a spec for the battery capacity in the unit and so there is no way to really know how much juice this might be able to provide for your phone but it will be greater than nothing if you need it.Fourth is zoom or a way to focus the intensity of the light in a smaller area rather having the light spread out; more area but the entire area is less bright. The Vitoki does have a zoom which focuses the light in a small area. It lights up my barn door 200 feet away quite nicely and I can avoid disturbing the neighbors when looking for the dog in the front yard at night.Fifth in the list of favorable characteristics is the ability to shut off in whatever light intensity and start back up at that same intensity – so-called memory. The Vitoki does not appear to have a memory option but since there are really only two intensities it’s not that big a deal.On the list of things I do not like I am not a fan of the dreaded strobe, but as I mentioned above you can avoid the strobe by double-clicking to go backwards and shut off the unit with one click backwards from the lower setting. In other words, you can ignore the strobe if you want and I definitely want to ignore the strobe. The Vitoki gets extra points for making the strobe optional.A quick mention on waterproofing: I did not see any mention of a weather resistant rating. The Amazon page says “Waterproof” but nothing is waterproof if it has a charging port. Carry it in the rain if you need to but don’t dunk it so that the charging port gets wet.So, pros: it’s bright enough, it has a USB-C charging port, you can zoom this light, and you can avoid the strobe.Cons: It does not have a removable battery.Overall, I can recommend this light even though for me it really only has two settings; a bright and brighter. The sidelights don’t do much, really. Otherwise, it is solid, light weight, and has most of the characteristics I care about. The Vitoki comes with a short charging cable and that’s about it. It’s a basic light and for that it works pretty well.

Too heavy to use for a long period of time.
The media could not be loaded. When ever I wear this headlamp, my daughters feel compelled to tell me that it looks like a camera. If it wasn’t so heavy, I actually kind of like that aesthetic. It would be whimsical yet functional. I am a big guy and this headlamp is just too heavy to use for more than five minutes. It can be done, but I am also uncomfortable for no reason. I have lights with similar battery life and brightness that are way lighter. The pad that distributes the weight on your forehead is pretty much a decoration. There is no flex to the padding whatsoever. I hate that I have to cycle through the modes each time I want to turn it on or off. There isn’t a memory option that turns the light on in the last mode used. The wire that goes to the main light that rotates down looks like it will wear out fast. For the price there are better designed lights out there. This light can still be used as a standard flashlight around the house or as an emergency light. That is why I didn’t give it one star. But as a headlamp, this light is not that great. I would get something else.

Awsome light!!
Okay so this light is actually really cool it does a couple different things. It can zoom in, it says it can show up to 800 ft I think it was, either way this light shows a long ways away. It has like seven different light functions, red and blue lights, this one you kind of look like a police officer it's kind of a weird. There is also a strobe function, and a red light obviously. The cool thing about this light is that you can match up whatever color with what other color you want like it's endless almost. The comfort is crazy comfortable, you will forget you're wearing this thing because it is so soft. I would recommend this to anybody who is looking for a cheap headlamp. With that being said I haven't had it that long so I don't know if it's going to give out in a month, I hope not. I will update this review if it burns out faster if the battery dies before a respectable amount of time. Also it is chargeable and comes with a cord but not a wall outlet plug.
