The CEB Study Bible

After experiencing spiritual abuse where the Bible was used as a weapon, I needed a new Bible with different wording. I also didn't want to use a Bible in which the male pronoun was constantly used when the original word applied to both male and female. I've seen too much limiting of women in ministries when that happens. I have been greatly pleased with this translation. The study notes are very helpful, as are the cross-references. For once, I am excited to start reading the Bible again.

Returned it and will buy a CEB Bible from another site. Study material looked great, but the book binding was much too cheap. Cardboard with the kind of shiny paper on it that toddler books use. It’s a very thick and heavy book and I can’t see that binding holding it together for very long.

Beautiful bible

I am really enjoying this bible. Easier to read than any other version and the "extra information" is better than another study bibles that I own.

I started reading the Bible more often after I bought this. This Bible makes it easy to understand the Word while also keeping the translation true to its original meaning.

I am a pastor and occasional adjunct OT university lecturer. This CEB Study Bible has been an excellent resource both for my own devotional reflection, and for quick pastoral preparation.

Easy to read. Book as described. Fast shipping.

I would highly recommend this book to any student of ministry as it is a great tool for research and reference work. Even though the book itself is heavy you will find the content quite light and easy to use. I might add, most of our Bible study group went out and bought this book after seeing one of our members copy.

Great translation and production but notes very lightweight
