Broken In 6 Months
I spent over $300 to buy a quality product. After normal use over the course of six months the rice cooker no longer works. I reached out to the manufacturer to see if anything could be done to fix the issue and I did not receive a response. I purchased two units at the same time and both of them are broken. At $300 apiece, I would have expected them to last longer than six months. Both units no longer heat up to cook the rice.

Really huge, not for a home cook
My wife had saw that I was really wanting to get a fancy Japanese rice cooker for the house, since I used to have a really nice one years ago and used it all the time. In her thinking of me she saw the price on this rice cooker and figured it would be great.Well, here is the thing. I am not a commercial kitchen, this rice cooker is HUGE, and cleaning it is kind of a pain in my small sink.The rice cooker comes neatly packed, and is intended for a commercial kitchen. It literally will not fit anywhere on my kitchen counter space, so keep in mind if you have a small home kitchen, this is not for you. The volume is huge, and its not something that I would comfortably use to make a small batch (1-2 cups of rice) which kind of defeats the purpose for me. It is however a good investment if you do a lot of entertaining, parties, or maybe have a small catering business. This rice cooker is just not for me. It also has very basic settings, and is more of a one trick pony.

Good product if you can read
If you follow the directions makes white rice perfectly I skipped the instructions first batch and had trouble with the consistency of my rice went back payed attention to the part where it says to not fill cup to the brim and let it sit on warm for 15 minutes when it was done gave it a good mix and boom rice was perfect don't give this cooker a bad rap because you were impatient

Dont buy before you read this
I own a small restaurant. We make about anywhere from 60 to 80 cups a day. I owned this for about 6months. it crap shoot at 3 months. Now at the end of 7 months it finally broke. If your spending this kind of money i suggest buying from the company atleast there is a warranty of some sort. Good luck.
