Q: These are definitely nickel free, right?

My ears itch and start crusting over, with a nasty cheese-like smell when I wear these so I think that the backs are not nickel-free even if the ball posts are.

Q: How to clean these earrings without stripping them? Especially the black ones?

I use toothpaste and tooth brush for stainless steel rings that are Crystals, QZ makes them sparkling and with warm water on, With earrings I use non harsh jewelry cleaner, soap n water, to disinfect i use water and little peroxide, rinse with warm water, and polish with buff towel, use jewelry towel. I have never stripped earrings, or stainless, surgical steel. I wear my stainless steel earrings and rings in shower,washing dishes, swimming doesn't tarnish. I hope this helps.

Q: Do the black ones flake/peel?

I have the gold one and they haven't change, I wear them everyday

Q: How many earrings come in a pack.

Sorry I can't answer that. I ordered the black earrings and had to return them almost immediately because of defects so I don't recall any specifics but I wouldn't order them again in any color or finish.
