I ordered this to use in my pon mixture. It worked great; this lava rock is great quality and exactly as described. The size is consistent and works well for drainage and plant mixes. It arrived dusty so I would suggest cleaning it before using it on your plants. I’d definitely buy this again for my plants.

Product was as described and came on time. Made a nice addition to my planter.

The fire pit was well packed and everything was in good shape upon opening the box. It was fairly easy to put together but you'll want to be careful with the table top when turning it upside down to tighten the screws as it will scratch easily - it doesn't matter much though as it's a fairly 'rustic' looking table. Be sure to remember to leave the screws slightly loose until you have all of them in place or you might have trouble fitting a screw or two. I replaced the blue glass beads with small red lava rock as the blue glass doesn't really go very well with the style of the fire pit. When installing the propane tank I removed the locking screw as it's very awkward to use with the tank installed -the tank is heavy enough to stay in place on it's own though. We have used the pit quite a few times now and have found it doesn't light very well, it seems like the gas doesn't initially flow well, perhaps because of the cold, I don't know. I made sure the spark area is clear per the instructions and hold the control knob in until the flame takes hold. If used frequently it's easier to light, if left for a few days it's harder to light. I bought a lighter from the grocery store which seems to be easier to use. Despite the trouble with lighting it I would recommend this fire pit and would buy it again. Only four stars though because of the trouble with lighting the fire pit.

This is perfect for use with indoor potting soil. I added some to the bottom of the pot and mixed the soil with these two. It works well for plants that need a lot of water and good drainage. I would not use this decoratively as the topsoil for indoor plants; the rocks are slightly lighter than pictured. Excellent value for the money.

Good value and fast shipping. Large rocks. May need two bags if you have medium or large grill. A little expensive.

I have built 3 fire pits for myself, and helped a couple friends with theirs. We have used a few different lava rocks, and also a couple different fire glass. This larger lava rock has been the best one I have used yet. I have had others pop, shatter, or explode, sending hot debris across the yard, but this one has not done any of that. I would recommend.
