GREAT ONE COAT PAINT!
This paint was used to paint our pool this spring. The color is a deep beautiful blue when first applied but does lighten when it dries and has even more so as the summer has progressed. Easy to apply and only takes, and only needs, ONE coat! Highly recommend!

Works perfectly IF you prep correctly
I keep seeing people complain about this paint not sticking. The surface NEEDS to be etched and cleaned properly, period. If you scrape/sand/blast the old paint off you still need to TSP wash THEN acid wash THEN tsp again, and rinse VERY liberally. Anyone that has issues with this paint sticking is either: a. not prepping correctly, b. not allowing the proper dry time before filling, or c. should not be taking on DIY projects like this as they lack the ability to read instructions and follow them. I have been using this paint for years, not only on my pool but my fountains as well, one of which needs to be replastered, but this paint covers it just fine. I had an adhesion issue one of the times I have used this paint to refinish my pool. It was 100% my fault for cutting a corner during prep and thinking the acid wash was not needed on the surfaces I had sanded, which is exactly where it lifted. Next time I did the acid wash as I should have previosuly and got the typical amazing results again. Be advised that acrylics do not last 10 years. You will need to reapply every 2-3 years.

Ordered white and good coverage
Began with white primer. After primer dried for 24 hours, then painted pool. Used white pool paint and it went on top of white primer easily. Very little smell. We began the painting before the sun came out and once finished - we are along it to dry for one week before refilling with water. So far, happy with the color and surprised how easy it was to apply the pool paint.

Nice color!
I love the color and it was super easy to use, how ever it’s not very durable and stains very easily. I prepped my pool as per the instructions, and painted and followed the instructions for second coat... and waited over a week to start filling and now it’s been full for a little over a month and on the deepest side (7ft) I see a paint chip! When I was painting it dries fairly quickly but if pollen gets on the surface it stained so easily as well as when I was pouring chlorine in to the pool it left streaks on the paint. I had to use 6 gallons for my pool. With all that being said I really love the color! Pictures are of before, with paint and filled.

3 coats - Faded after 5 months
After 20 years our light blue Inground Florida pool faded to faded to white so we decided to resurface clean and paint it deep blue. We found this Royal blue and fell in love with it.. Our pool and others in our neighborhood are maintained year round by a professional pool maintenance company. Since they also painted some of our neighbors pools in the past we decided to use them for this project instead of trying to do it ourselves. That was April 2022. As you can see from the Before & After pictures the results were striking dramatic and gorgeous. The color lasted For 3 months until July 2022 when we started noticing that the color was getting Lighter and lighter. In August we started noticing a dark dust On the pool floor that kept getting heavier and heavier while while the color of the pool kept getting lighter and lighter and lighter. Now 5 months later it looks like our pool was pool was never painted and there is always a never ending granular blue dust all over the bottom of our pool.. We purchased 10 gallons of this paint at $70 a gallon and had a professionally installed with 3 Coats . It not only looks like we never had our pool painted it is pool painted it is now full of this blue dust. I have been trying for a month to no Avail to Get through to the company but all my emails go unanswered. Stay away from this stuff. All of our neighbors pools painted by The same company that did mine with paint that was half the price have beautiful pools and mine looks like garbage. I was hoping to get a few years out of a professional pool painting instead I got barely 3 months. The job Took 8 gallons and I gave the other 2 gallons To my friend 2 towns over to painter ingrown spa and she has reported the same results

Rolled on very smoothly
I was pleased to see on the can that this pool paint is manufactured by Benjamin Moore and I know a painter who swears by that brand. But, I'm more impressed with how smooth this paint rolled onto my concrete pool wall and how far it went. It took only a little more than half the paint that's been required in the past and it covered better too. The other brands of acrylic pool paints I've used before called for about a 3 day cure time before refilling, but this INSL-X paint says a minimum of 7 days cure time under ideal conditions, which leads me to think that something must be different about the formulation. The royal blue looks very nice and I'm glad I chose it over the lighter blue because fading is inevitable over time anyway. Based on my initial experience in applying this paint, I'm hopeful that it will be more durable than what I've used in the past, but I'll update this review if I have any problems with it over the summer. Thanks and good luck!

Excellent
My pool is old and needed some TLC so I bought this paint online. I live in Perth Western Australia & I was worried because of our harsh hot climate. After cleaning etc I started with the first coat as per instructions and it applied so easily. The final coat, not watered down was easy to apply too & the result is amazing. I haven’t filled it up yet as I need to wait 5 days. I will add to the review later.I did this myself and saved a lot of money, not bad for a woman who loves to paint. Thank you Amazon and INSL-X Waterborne swimming pool paint.I have filled my pool & it’s been over a month and no problems. It’s like a new pool! I highly recommend this product.
