Hp laptop battery
Exactly fit for my HP 840 14" Laptop, reasonable price.

Poor performance for a new battery.
The battery was easy to install, but the capacity is very low. Even with light use, it dies in under 3 hours. Not a great replacement if you need to work away from a charger.

Fit my 2021 HP laptop
This was very compatible with my pc. I had to buy another one under one year. I wish the battery lasted longer. There aren't any other batteries that match my pc so I have to keep buying this battery until I eventually buy a new laptop.

Failed barely used after a year versus 8 original. *updated* seller sent replacement...
so, this battery worked fine for 1.5 years, always climate controlled environment and protected from sunlight/heat. Battery information shows 11 charge cycles. Then when I tried using it a few months ago the laptop shut off instantly when unplugged (despite battery indicating fully charged). Info displays 11.32volts (too low) and "100%" capacity (42226MWh -same as when I received it, so not believable?) , wear level 11%. On physical inspection the battery has puffed/expanded slightly on one cell IE damaged. Laptop has been set in BIOS to only charge battery to 80%, thus should never puff. Luckily in this laptop the puffing didn't cause damage this time. Seems possible the battery firmware has been modified to always display healthy/new, ignoring actual cell condition. Far from the first time I see that. Previous battery lasted 8 years under much more usage. (unlike most users, if I have any updates I will return to edit this) ++++And here I am updating: Contacted seller who did respond they couldn't help since out of 1 year warranty. BUT I replied once to say something about it's sad the quality is so poor, I'm sure its not their intent, bye. To my surprise "Lucy" responded to ask/confirm item is dead, then she offered a replacement. Still I was doubtful, but 3 or 4 days later an oversized box arrived with new battery. Now, the new one works, but it shows more odd internal information, like though it is reportedly newer-built, and with only 1 charge cycle, it lists 14% wear level -this might be if newer cells have less capacity compared to the HP firmware which expects OEM full capacity. Replacement battery is identical housing, slight change of label but same performance specs listed even if internally different. Lithium-Polymer chemistry should never have gone public. Lithium-Ion nearly as horrific.
