Pair of Large Cast Iron Victorian Ironbridge Shelf Brackets – 10" / 25cm

Bought these to prop up some floating IKEA shelves. I didn't trust the anchors on the wall. The brackets look really good and are well made. They are heavy but not too heavy. I washed the grease off them before putting them on the wall (just a bit of washing up liquid and water - then dried them right away).The supplied screws are not great - they are flat heads and are a bit tricky to put in as a result.Otherwise, I love them. They look great and did the job I wanted them to do (i.e. I am now confident in putting some heavy books on the IKEA shelf these brackets support).

Great quality. Well oiled greased lacquered. Good to have the additional holes that many other cast iron brackets don’t seem have. Good quality thick deep head screws means they don’t graunch when screwing in deep. Would be nice if I could buy a single bracket rather than a pair but appreciate most people want a pair.

I've used these brackets both inside the house and outside in a walled garden. They have a nice simple design and are sufficiently strong for most jobs. The brackets fitted to shelving inside are holding heavy-weight text books without issue, and outside they are holding 4 or 5 potted plants. Outside, they weather nicely and benefit from the occasional wipe with WD40 or similar, just to keep the majority of the rust away without spoiling the patina.One observation I would make; use black, domed headed screws and make sure the size of the screw head is suitable for the space the bracket holes allow for. If in doubt, take a bracket to the DIY store and ensure that the screws you intend to use are a good fit.

stylish product and a reasonable price - I was surprised by how expensive nice brackets can be!One thing tho - the screws are for flat head screwdriver but I prefer philips for the grip and the metal , while great for the brackets, is a little soft for the screws so you run the risk of damaging the head if your screwdriver spins in the slit... ok, just dont use a drill to screwdrive maybe!

Very good quality and workmanship. Brackets have a lovely finnish and I was pleasantly surprised to find screws enclosed. The brackets were received within a few days of ordering. I will surely be shopping here again.

Nice product but cost more then in your local diy shop. Looks classy and very sturdy! The screws are matching in colour but I have replaced them with longer Philip ones. Recommended 😀

A stylish product and well made - much better in both respects that those available in the big DIY stores. Only criticism is that the screws provided weren't quite right. Did not really match the countersunk holes and for securing the shelf, much too long.

I supporti sono ben fatti e robusti. La descrizione del prodotto è fedele.Li ho inizialmente montati al muro utilizzando le viti in dotazione abbinate a tasselli miei. Le viti sono belle da vedere e della giusta lunghezza ma di fattura e materiale scadente: l’incavo sulla testa della vite prevede l’uso di un cacciavite piatto ma è poco profondo e finisce per il deteriorarsi durante l’avvitamento, rendendo impossibile il completamento del fissaggio.(occorre un cacciavite lungo per avvitare le viti al muro nella parte alta)Alla fine le ho sostituite tutte con delle viti che avevo (brunite per conservare l’effetto visivo).Problema facilmente risolto e 4 stelle meritatissime.
