Urnex Full Circle Coffee Grinder Cleaning Tablets - 3 Single Use Packets - Coffee Grinder Cleaner Removes Coffee Residue and Oils

I have the Baratza encore burr grinder and have used it fairly regularly for the last eight years without ever cleaning it. It always seems to work and my coffee always tastes pretty good. If the taste may sometimes be off, I attribute that to perhaps the blend of the coffee or maybe my taste buds just being a little bit off on a certain day. I just never saw any reason to go into any kind of deep cleaning with the unit. The machine jammed once because I neglected to empty the basket while grinding. I was quite intimidated, but found a video that explained how to clear it up and though a little bit of a pain in the neck and a little bit messy, I was able to clear the pathway for grinding. This happened again recently, and although I cleared up the blockage of backed up beans and grime, there was still a fair amount of residue on the parts and I decided to try out these cleaning tablets. It worked! Although it is a somewhat involved process, you have to run a cup of coffee through the machine and then take apart the machine and clean some of the parts, everything now seems sparkling clean. I am not sure if this translates to better tasting coffee or not, I haven’t noticed any kind of magical difference. I am not sure if there is any alternative that is less expensive for cleaning your grinder. This is simply a packet containing a few tablets and it almost looks like it could/should cost just a dollar or two per packet. But it does work and leaves your machine looking nice and clean. The grinder is definitely working better after using the cleaning tablets, faster, smoother and more precise grinding.

Each time I clean my electric coffee bean grinder in accordance with manufacturer instructions, I grind one packet of this product through the grinder. This removes more oil from the parts I can manually clean, and from interior parts I can't access at all. You need a more refined sense of taste than I have to tell if using this product actually makes your brewed coffee taste better. I use it because the grinder manufacturer recommends doing so to improve grinder operation and durability. Also, be aware that any time you use this product, you need to sacrifice enough beans for several cups of coffee to clear out all residue from this product.

It did a great job at removing oils and cleaning residue that causes off-taste. My only question is why it's priced at almost twice that of its sister product, Grindz by Urnex. I ordered the Grindz product and will compare it during next month's cleaning!

Put it right through the grinder. It picks up the oil that can accumulate with coffee beans. I would run a few beans through afterwards to pick up the excess dust. It honestly doesn't leave a flavor but the water flows better if you take a minute to get rid of the last of the "dust."

The product was easy to use...just open the packet and pour into the grinder and turn in on. It didn't take long to go through. Probably 15 - 20 seconds on regular/medium grind. Then I ground 70 gm of coffee beans which took a while to do. I opened the top of my coffee bean grinder (Shardor) and I could still see bits of the cleaning tablet down inside of the grinder?? (I should have taken a picture of it) So I took it out to my shop and used the compressor to blow out all the bits of left over tablet and some coffee grounds. Did it clean the grinder... I guess so but it sure left a bit of stuff behind. I was not impressed. I will take my grinder apart and clean with a stiff brush and the compressor. I wish it had worked better because it would have been lot less work.

These worked exceptionally well at cleaning my Baratza burr coffee grinder. It was fast and easy. Per instructions, I ran about a cup of whole beans through after running the Urnex packet through and the grinder was good to go. All the old coffee debris was gone and my next pot of coffee was vastly improved! Hint: There will be a product white residue left after grinding the packet. Make sure to thoroughly wipe out and clean the Hopper container before adding fresh, expensive coffee beans of you choice.

Worked like it was supposed to.

This is one of those products I've heard of and have been curious... but never gave myself the push to order one - until now. I used it on my 15year old espresso grinder. I was pulling shots fine on the grinder prior to using this grinder. But after I cleaned the grinder with this product it DRASTICALLY improved the quality of my shots. It even removed the stale coffee smell in the grinder dosing chamber. My only regret is not having tried this product sooner. It's now going to be part of my regular routine of grinder maintenance. Now the only bad part I saw... Grinding this product creates a lot of airbourne particals and the product gets everywhere. Even with the hopper and dosing chamber closed, there's always some spilling out during the many purges to come ( to get rid of all of the product in the grinder after cleaning) The product does claim it is foodsafe, but I personally want to completely remove the product from my grinder before I pull drinkable shots. This completel purge uses a lot of beans.

Pricey but did the job really well

商品自体より梱包、配送への評価になってしまいますが、段ボールを開けた瞬間に粉状のものが漏れており、外箱もへこんでいる状態でした。 外箱を開けると案の定3つある小袋のうちの1つが写真のように破れており、中身が漏れていました。 すぐに1つ使用する予定だったのと、返品の手間を考えて今回はそのまま使用することにしましたが、他の袋の中身も一部タブレットが細かく砕けていそうな触感、音がしています。 商品自体は手軽に電動ミルの清掃ができて良い製品だと今の所は思っていますので、商品を破損させない配送の改善を強く望みます。
