I bought some padlocks that were 7mm shackles, and they were too thick. Most "standard" masterlock-type padlock shackles are much too thick for this box. I was able to drill out the holes for the locks I bought without difficulty, so that could be an option for you. **Q: Can you stand on top of the boxes?** A: I would not **Q: Are these cases sealed against rain?** A: there is a gasket, so I'd say yes. However, they are not "water-tight". **Q: Could this be turned into a faraday cage?** A: I think so. I lined mine with an aluminum sheet, not foil. Then used the aluminum tape for all the edges. This alone isn't sufficient. You will need to use the faraday bags with your devices with towels between each bag. I found this combination worked best.
