Propet Women's Sparrow Flat

My 63 year old mother lives in another state and hates going around to stores looking for things like shoes. She works long hours on her feet and has been in search of black shoes that are comfortable for her small, wide, flat feet with bunion issues. She wears size 6.5 double wide. I usually find shoes for her online and have them shipped to her, and then she has to go through the process of returning them.I have had luck with Propet for my size 8.5W feet and was actually looking for a cute black mary jane for myself. I found these Sparrow flats and thought they were cute, so I looked and they have them in my mother's hard-to-find size. AND, her size was on sale for $23 instead of $80! So I ordered them for her. She called me last night after an evening shift on her feet and tried on these flats and said they were absolutely perfect. This has been a long time coming!!! She said the width is perfect, she has room in her toes, the leather is nice but not super thick so the top of the shoe fits closely to her foot but isn't tight at the least, she can place a finger in loosely. And since it was the end of the day and her feet were at their most swollen, I know the next morning they'll be just that much more comfortable. She was so pleasantly surprised. I got online immediately and ordered her a second (the last) pair. No more of those "old lady shoes" for her!

These shoes are really flattering on a wider foot and are very fashionable. They are somewhat comfortable and will be great to wear to work. I did buy them for a trip where I would be doing a lot of walking (and didn't want to wear sneakers), but I don't think they will serve the purpose. They don't have a lot of cushioning, so all-day walking is out of the question. The shoes do have a removable insole, though. If you wear orthotics, they should fit nicely. I might look into getting some kind of insert. Who knows, maybe they will work out after all!

Very comfortable

I started wear Propet shoes last year and the Sparrow Flat was the third style I purchased. Being on my feet a lot, I need shoes that are very comfortable. My feet are very flat and I cannot stand wearing shoes that have arch support. When I tried on this pair, I found the inside pad rubbed the insole of my foot where, If I had an arch, the arch would be. I examined the pad and found that I could trim the part of the inner pad that arched slightly up the side of the shoe. It took me all of 10 seconds to do that and then the shoes fit perfectly without the insole rubbing.I really like the style of these shoes and would order another pair. For my extra wide, very flat foot, these shoes were an excellent purchase. I would also like to mention after reading other reviews, all three pairs of Propets I purchased were the exact same size and all fit exactly the same. You just cannot beat the quality and comfort for the price!

Although these shoes were too wide for me (I ordered the extra wide due to a recent foot surgery that seemed to make my feet wider.), my mother loves them. They fit her perfectly. If I ordered another pair, I'd definitely just order wide.

I have very wide feet along with a multitude of other foot problems. I have given up on buying shoes in a local store but as I was leaving for a trip where a lot of walking was going to occur I took a look into my closet and found that I really needed to invest in a new pair of walking shoes. I didn't want an athletic shoe because the event I was attending was business and I knew I needed to be at least business casual. I also, didn't want to break the bank because it was right after the holidays and I needed it fast because I was leaving in 3 days. I found the Propet Sparrow online and thought what the heck I will give it a try. I ordered the shoe over a holiday and still received in early on the 3 day shipping. It fit wonderfully and they were light and easy to pack. It is a true 11 and I am really a 10 1/2 so I wish that would of been an option but with a thicker sock this shoe made my trip so much better. I will really enjoy these shoes.

I was happy to find truly wide wide-width shoes. I might have needed an 8.5 (which is smaller than my usual) because it's causing a blister on my achilles and there's extra room in the toe. I may try to add some padding to the back because otherwise it's a nice shoe.

I wore these all day at work. I am on my feet all day and need a shoe that is comfortable to walk in and looks better than a sneaker. I did not have to change to clogs at mid day. So far, so good. Now I have to see how they work out for actual walking. I hope these will be shoes I can wear all day while walking around site seeing.
