For the price, this is an absolutely superb bit of kit, no reason not to have one on any vehicle sat unused over the cold winter months. Saves buying a brand new battery when they deplete over time, just connect it with the parts supplied in the box to your battery and leave it, giving you piece of mind that when you're ready to go, your battery will be too. The cables are a reasonable length, the charger although very light in terms of weight and display information functions as it should and is plug and play.

Great! I've been looking for a battery maintainer for a while. Very similar products from optimate or battery tender are stupidly expensive, even second hand. This little thing does exactly the same job for twenty quid. I spent far too long trawling the web for a charger, and I'm glad I found this one in the end. This isn't a powerful charger that will "revive" fully discharged batteries or jump start a car, that's not what it's for. It's designed to gently maintain your motorcycle battery when the bike is sat in the garage. Connect the fused cable directly to your battery and hide the connector somewhere discrete. (I have cable tied it to the frame with the cable coming out from under the seat so I don't even have to remove the seat, letalone the tank to charge as I did previously) Then, everytime you park up, just connect the cable from the charger to the cable on the bike. It will keep your battery charged and in good condition ready for the next time you take it out. You can leave it connected indefinitely. It also comes with crocodile clips so you can connect it to batteries that are out on your bench. I'm sick of leaving my bike in the garage for a few months or weeks, only to find my battery is dead, won't start and needs a £70+ replacement (because in reality, once a battery is fully discharged, it will never reliably hold a charge again) The charger has no buttons and no settings to worry about, just two LEDS - one to tell you it has mains power, and another that is OFF when not connected to a battery, RED when charging and GREEN when maintaining. Great little product, does exactly what it's supposed to, great price. Solid construction, decent cables and connectors, easy to use. A must have item for anyone with a motorcycle in the garage.

I used the MOTOPOWER MP00205A 12V 800mA fully automatic battery charger/maintainer on my Toyota RAV4 while it was left unused for about 45 days. I simply connected it to the car on the driveway, and when I returned, the 12V battery measured 12.6 V, the car started and drove perfectly, and there was no battery discharge or issues at all. The charger is easy to use, fully automatic, and very affordable at £18. It kept my OEM battery healthy without any need for upgrades or expensive replacements. One important note is that the cable is very short. I had to cut it and extend it by 2 metres to reach comfortably. If you do this, make sure to reconnect properly using electrical tape or solder the wires, and make it waterproof to avoid any risk of damage or short circuits. People should be aware of this before purchase. For anyone leaving their car idle for extended periods, this is a simple, reliable, and cost-effective solution.

The battery on my Harley-D went completely flat, so I bought this, plugged it in overnight, and it started the first time. Very complicated to use. You have to plug it into the mains, plug it into the motorbike, and... wait. Yeah, it's idiot proof. Good charger and excellent price.

This item is great easy to fix and being a small unit could easily be hidden on the bike would highly recommend

This was purchased to provide charging of my tractor mower over the winter period. The battery is tricky to fully access but the positive and negative supply cables from it are connected to easily accessed bolt points on the chassis. These are smaller than on a car but I was able to fix the SAE quick release cables, which have the larger ring connecters, securely and safely with additional washers. The 2-amp unit is professionally constructed and can be wall mounted. For safety reasons make certain that the charger is located well away from a lead acid battery, which emits hydrogen and oxygen during the charging process, and that the area is well ventilated. Overall, this unit is well designed and functional for optimal maintenance of a lead acid battery during times of non-use and for fully recharging a battery when necessary.

Works perfect so far. Ordered it, had it in 2 days and now have my Harley fully charged and the battery nice and warm. Very easy to read lights, nice long flat spot on the back for laying on the floor or mounting to a wall and all the attachments you need. And the price is unbeatable. Thanks MOTOPOWER!

Very pleased with this charger, I bought it to keep my RE Himalayen battery topped up when the bike is layed up. The tender wire the charger comes with makes it so easy to charge once it's fitted to the battery
