I was skeptical about this item as it wasn't coming from a 'big brand' but this filter has really gone beyond my expectations, it's quiet and pretty high quality, comes with sponges and is the perfect size and wattage for a 19L Betta tank. The flow is adjustable and can be really low or really high. Easy to take apart to clean and PERFECT FOR BETTAS

This product description is just complete and utter lies. I am an Oase 300 and it does 300 litres per hour, it's massive and covers a huge tank, this thing moves absolutely 0 water. I have this in a tiny true nano tank, 20cm x 20cm x 20cm, not much water due to hardscape and the top of the water is totally 100% stagnant and the water inside the tank is still and moving entirely, so there's no way for it to collect ammonia. It's tiny, so i thought like the tiny water pumps, it would at least match their flow, it's just so disappointing. If it didn't list 250l/H I wouldn't have left a review, but the sheet lie of the title has made me. So if you want it in a tank that has absolutely no flow, and is tiny, got for it. Otherwise no. The other issue is it says to fill it up or filter wont work, but I fill it up and it still struggles to work and pull up water from the tank. So it sits making noise as it pumps air for 20 minutes before it FINALLY manager to pull water through the inflow and then put water out. Its just not a good product sadly, I was so hopeful too.

I have bought this based on reviews. It's for a 26 liter betta tank. The mini version which I have is silent, the flow is good but not disruptive. The filter is small but I've changed the media a bit. It's silent, keeps the tank clear and is perfect for a small tank.

USB powered and pretty much silent, with an adjustable flow rate, perfect for really small tanks. The one downside of filters this small is they don’t hold much media. I cut down the sponge and added some pumice, and it has worked fine in my 20 litre planted tank.

I thought that this burnt out after 2 months and gave a one star review but I’m happy to eat my words. What actually happened was that tiny snails were getting sucked into the filter and were jamming the impeller and freezing the action of the filter. The fact is, this has happened a few times now and as soon as I get the debris out of the filter it starts working again. The fact that it hasn’t burnt out yet is very encouraging. Currently of the opinion that it might indestructible. This is after I sent back 3 Marina filters that burn out within a few days, and this isn’t from any obstruction- they were just terribly designed.

I found this product to be a little disappointing, although I decided to keep it for a small planted tank. The parts do not stay together very well and the motor has difficulty sucking the water up through the intake tube. It can only hang on a clean edge, so if your aquarium has a frame around the top to support a cover, it will not work. It looks nice and is very quiet once you get it working. I found it needs to be fully submerged to get it going and then you can hang it on the edge of the tank.

I was initially quite unsure about this product as it didn't appear to have any reviews or ratings however I was not disappointed. Despite its small size it seems to put out a lot of water. The flow rate is variable using a small knob. The filter recovers from short interruptions to power and will resume filtering after being off for a long time given sufficient time ( I waited about 5 full minutes for it to resume filtering as normal). It doesn't make a lot of noise at all. Overall a great purchase for the price.

Pros: it will not suck up fry or shrimp. Cons: it barely sucks up water. I filled the reservoir with water, turned the pump on, and waited. And waited some more. Empires have risen and fallen, and still I wait. You can see in the video how slowly this is sucking up water. I have removed the sponges from the intake hoping for an improvement. I have work in 45 minutes and I'm not sure it'll be running before I leave. Is this a bad thing? Well.... youre buying it for a small tank or fry. I wouldn't use this in anything over 10L. Theres no point. Honestly anything over 5L its probably pointless. Its not going to effectively filter. Youre better off using a sponge filter. You'd need to still vacuum the gravel if you use this in a betta tank to clean up poop- so why bother? (I mean, i might, because im in the tropics and I need some water circulation... but an air stone will do this cheaper.) This would work perfectly fine in a planted shrimp jar.
