Extremely light weight. When removing the carafe the whole device slides. See my comment
The coffee pot brews well and the brew tastes as you like it, just like an old 4 cup Mr. Coffee. But it is not weighted and slides when you lift the full carafe from the brewer. You must steady the coffee maker ( which is now hot from brewing) with one hand while you tilt and lift the carafe from the brewer. Since the coffee maker is so light weight and slides it would be advisable to put a non slip pad (cut to size so it is not visible) under the machine. Pull the plug when done using, as any appliance can cause a fire when the plug is left in the outlet and you are not in attendance. If the filter basket wears out or tears you may have to go back to using paper filters, it does have that option. I do not expect that this machine will last as long as my old 4 cup Mr. Coffee from years ago. But it works, bottom line, it gives you a cup of coffee in the same time it takes to brew a Keurig with less waste of plastic and is more cost effective than spending $9.99 (on sale) for 10 coffee pods. You can buy a pound or more of straight ground coffee for the same price and get MORE than 10 cups from a pound. It is economical and eco friendly; where Keurig is not. And it is simple to clean and use. Do not need a degree to use it.

4 Cup Perfect Size
I like that it’s compact, you brew your 2 cups or more if you like, clean it up, back in the cabinet ready for the next day.

This is NOT a four cup brewer
Summary:1- Four cups advertised is misleading. It makes 17-18 ounces. That may be four cups for some, but it's not for me.2- Brewing is slow. With the carafe filled to "4 water", you can expect to wait about 5-7 minutes. I didn't time it. It's just slow.3- Clean up is tedious. This is almost a deal breaker for me.4- Although I have not yet tried a full brewing with 4 scoops, the weakness of 3 scoops doesn't give me "warm fuzzies" that 4 scoops will lead to a cup that has a strong flavor. Having to brew 6 "cups" of water to get a "strong flavor", or so they say, as slow as it is, is not worth it.For the price paid, if you drink small cups of coffee, and you don't mind mild flavor, it's decent for the price. Definitely not worthy of 4 or 5 stars in MY opinion. It got a 3. The old adage "You get what you pay for" is true in this case.Details:When I was looking for 4 cup brewers, that is what I searched on in Amazon. This one very clearly, and in very unambiguous terms, indicates it's a four cup brewer. I filled the carafe to the maximum value, which is the "4 water" mark on the carafe. It makes about 17-18 ounces total. Now, I guess if you drink 4 ounce cups of coffee, then yeah, this is a four cup brewer. I drink my coffee 18 ounces at a time. A 4 ounce cup of coffee would just annoy me. Honestly, I don't have a problem with brewing one cup at a time, but advertising it as 4 cups, without being clear on how much they consider a cup, is a bit misleading. Also, it is rather slow. I didn't time it, but it was at least 4-5 minutes to brew the 17-18 ounces, and probably more like 6-7 minutes. It's designed to keep the coffee hot, so if you start the brewer, and then wait for it to finish, it'll feel like an eternity. I'd recommend finding something else to do while you wait. The filter gets really nasty from the grounds. You have an option to use the included permanent filter, or you can use paper filters, but you should not do both. I found the included permanent filter to be adequate to the task as far as keeping grounds out of the carafe. However, cleanup is not great. You basically have to tap the filter against the side of your garbage can to knock them loose. You then have to rinse the filter to loosen the remaining grounds, let the water drain through the wire mesh of the filter, and then dump the remaining grounds out. I rinsed it thoroughly after doing this to ensure I got them all out. If you have a septic tank, you'll want to be very careful about this. You really don't want grounds in your septic tank (not an issue for people with "city" water).I filled the included scooper 3 times (leveled flat ) with coffee grounds. The coffee was a bit weak. If you like your coffee strong, the most you can use is 4 scoops. They did say you can use 1.5 "cups" of water to get a stronger flavor. That would mean filling the water to max once, brewing it through, then filling to the halfway marker and brewing that through. Due to the slow speed, that would quickly become frustrating.

DOA
I have been frustrated with this coffee maker from the start, thinking that I have been doing something wrong, scratching my head and reading instructions and watching videos on how to use it and have finally concluded after all of the frustration that it's just a cheap piece of junk that has some kind of defect! The water just runs right through it! I suppose that what can you expect for twenty bucks? I have owned several coffee makers over the years and have never had any problems using them! not even worth the Hasell of returning it.

Unexpected Gem
I was literally just buying an inexpensive coffeemaker to have something on hand for a houseguest - but - this thing is just great.I fell in love when I read the section in the manual "The quest for perfect coffee" -- yes, this is a very standard drip coffeemaker, it doesn't have any special features, it doesn't have any gimmicks -- but -- people who really love coffee were heavily involved in the development here, and it shows. It actually makes a reallly really good cup of coffee. I'm super impressed especially for the price.Easy to use, easy to clean, permanent filter is great, and it has a warming plate and brew-pause which are the only two features that matter for a drip-carafe coffeemaker IMO.

Geri- cafetera de 4 tazas.
Una excelentísima compra! Es pequeña así que ocupa muy poco espacio, luce elegante, calienta muy bien el agua para extraer todo el sabor del café. Viene con manual y scoop, muy bien empacada. Altamente recomendable. Enjoy your java, I did.
