It's still essential to go to a range and dial in a zero at proper distance with live rounds, but this will get you on paper and save range time and ammo. The package includes a laser cartridge in 223(5.56) and six batteries. The cartridge takes 3 stacked batteries at once, and each set of 3 batteries lasts approximately one hour, so 2 hours of total use from included batteries. Function: Simply unscrew the endcap from the cartridge, insert 3 batteries, screw the endcap back on, and your laser is on. Once the laser is functioning, you simply place the cartridge into the receiver and *gently* ease the bolt forward until the cartridge is fully seated.
