Soft, Comfortable. Full Coverage
I recently discovered a package of these undies in a mailing bag that had been forgotten about. I've been on a several months long quest to find comfortable proper fitting underwear. I prefer cotton but the problem is always that they stretch out and become baggy, leading to saggy crotch. Another issue is as a plus size woman, there is never enough coverage in the front on my tummy . The leg holes pull up to high and I have exposed flesh. After trying these undies, and discovering they hold their shape pretty well, I came back online and found they are 60/40 Cotton Poly. So that is the secret. They hold their shape much better than all cotton. The elastic waist band is very soft and stretchy. For those with belly hang, the coverage is excellent. I would say they run a tad big, I liked them enough to order another pack one size smaller and I'm hopeful those will be the winning golden ticket. I had a pair of Fruit of the Loom low-rise comfort soft briefs for years, they were my favorite and I wore them until they literally fell apart. I've been searching high and low for something to take their place. These are not low rise, but a full brief, however they come to just under the belly button and would be perfect in my opinion if they were about 1 inch lower in the rise. However, much more important to me is the coverage in the front on the tummy so I am completely covered and they don't sag out of shape after several hours. These fit the bill on both counts and I do not expect them to shrink due to being 60/40. Oh and just another plus- the fabric is very soft. I'm pretty happy with them overall but I'd suggest sizing down one size.

Good, not great
The material of these panties is very comfy, as is the waist elastic. Leg elastic could be a bit wider for more comfort. They wash very well. The improvement I would like to see is to make the crotch wider. For a big woman it's awfully hard to find a wide enough crotch: a little personal to talk about, but nonetheless necessary.

Thin Fabric and Scratchy Waistband
I shouldn't have assumed was the same underwear pictured in the Assorted (6-pack) product image. I got the Assorted 5-pack. The 60% Cotton/40% Polyester "heathered" blend is thin and scratchy. (I didn't wash them, so I don't know if that helps soften them.) The elastic waistband was incredibly stiff and rough. It reminded me of a serrated knife edge! The fit was fine - it covered my big belly completely and the waist wasn't too tight. The leg holes had some extra room, but my legs and butt aren't very large. I probably would have just kept them as backup if not for the scratchy waistband.

Yay for underpants!
I call the style of underwear that I love "bucket underwear" because they have full coverage, cotton comfort and they don't require adjustment through the day. Some people call them granny panties- but I hate that. I'm not even 40 and I've been wearing bucket underwear my whole happy, yeast infection free life. I refuse to wear a thong or anything small, itchy or only for looks. I prefer comfort. I couldn't care less about panty lines or what anyone thinks about my underwear. I love them. These are exactly perfect. Soft. Comfortable like a t-shirt. Not too high. Not too short. Cute colors. Thin but not cheap cotton. Great fit. I found the size chart to be accurate and I also bought the same size I wore last year. These wash well- shrinkage is minimal. Love these. I bought 7 packages. Yay for underpants!

DISPOSIBLE is right- what happened?
I used to love these. Have bought them for years. I know not to expect a quality garment for $2.00 (each) but really? Lane Bryant sells the best cotton panties ever for around $15.00 which are a splurge for me because I only wear this kind around the house or maybe sleep in them. There has to be a happy medium. Personally I would pay $3 or $4 (??) for something I can wash if I would have had a choice between that or buying these. The fabric was see through it was so thin and very thin elastic. I liked these because of the thinner elastic but this is different. I immediately ordered an additional pack of another brand but reviews indicate the same problem so I hope this isn't the new normal. Haven't washed them yet but I can already tell they won't even be able to handle a delicate cycle. I'm not about to hand wash this type of stuff. Someone else described them as disposable and that was my first thought. I can't believe the drastic difference between these and the same ones I just bought (whenever- not too long ago). I don't like "ratty" underwear and I toss them at the first sign of a fray. I seriously doubt I'll get more than two uses out of these.

Buyer Beware - 40% polyester
So, I technically didn't try them on. They are marketed as a cotton brief, but are 40% polyester. My gyn has always said to wear cotton undies so they breathe (you ladies know what I'm talking about). I expected cotton but they simply advertised them in the head title wrong. Had I read more closely I would have realized the polyester issue and never would have ordered them. I think it's deceitful have the "header" read "Fruit of the Loom 5pk Fit for Me Assorted Heather Cotton Brief." I have the package ready to go to return them. I'm disappointed.

A Little Slack, But Acceptable
Now when I order these they were much better fit and not as large as the JMS, but alittle loose. I like them so I will keep them and have to reorder and go down a size. I recommend and be careful too as to how you order for if your use to ordering the less-known briefs or store brands then generally you will order sizes up. But with Hanes, although I chose the fit as expected, there was a small slack but ok. I like the colors and will also be reordering now that I have found a better bargain as far as having to go to the store for them... Easy and you don't have to sift thru a lot of packages trying to find the right size or color it is all right here on Amazon just search and choose your size color click on order, pay and wait for them to come to your door...just that easy... I recommend totally... MissS
