Do to reviews I purchased a 1/2 size larger
I have a pair of Columbia Sierra Flurry size 10 snow boots I purchased about five years ago from Amazon and I wear them pretty much year round to feed the dogs, to work and walking a 1/4 mile one way to the mailbox in the snow. The bottom of one boot is starting to separate so I purchased these. They are about the same height but just as an F.Y.I. you cannot wear these in deep snow because they are open under the buttons so any deep snow above your ankles could get inside your boot. I wore them for weeks barefoot before being able to wear socks with them. I normally wear a 10 medium or 9 1/2 wide. I ordered a 10 1/2 and they are still a little snug across the top and the rubber does not stretch out but the lining inside does smoosh down after wearing them barefoot to feed the dogs, and outside chores so now I can wear thin socks, but the boots are nice and warm so that is not a problem. It didn't occur to me these would be open so next time I need boots I think I will get Columbia lace up or zip ups like the Flurry's were. Columbia products have been very good to me so I will stay with them.

Great winter boots for new england.
Difficult to put on for me. But once on, great!Update on 2/9/15The shoes are bleeding brown color and making a huge mess!! Please beware. They are still great boots but if they leave a brown trail after you wear them in snow, how good are they?

Warm and cozy...and dry.
These have great traction, are very warm, easy to slip on and take off, lightweight. They look as cute as they can considering they are first and foremost snowy weather boots.

Three Stars
Cute and comfortable except they were too small.

No traction
These boots have no traction whatsoever. I have only worn them a few times, and although they are warm and seem to be waterproof, the soles are extremely slippery and perform very poorly on ice and even on tile or linoleum. The soles appear to be made of rubber and look like they would have good traction, but I have almost fallen on ice and/or in the subway station and/or in a department store at least six times in the short time that I've owned them. They may be fine for snow and slush, but their lack of traction makes them completely ineffective as snow boots. My dress boots are more skid-resistant than these. Waste of money.

Perfect fit and very easy to walk in
Bought these for a trip to Scotland. In below freezing weather with snow/slush, my feet stayed warm and dry. These look a little industrial when you put them on, but they are SOOOOO comfy and very light to walk in. They almost "rock" your feet forward. Highly recommended for cold weather purposes - oh and they do open - the buttons/loops are not only for decoration, so they are easy to put on even if you have wide pants legs to accommodate.

Bad Design
These would be great boots as they are incredibly warm, however, the seam across the top of the boot makes it incredibly tight around the foot. I tried these on with my normal socks(ones I would wear anytime of the year) and they were so tight it cut off the circulation in my foot. I could make these work if I went without socks, but for what they cost, they had better fit. I might reconsider this if it came in a wide. I don't wear wide shoes, but it would help in this case.
