I was initially skeptical about this bulb, but it works. My only complaint is that if there is a power outage while the bulb is off, it does not remain off when the power returns. I experienced this when I was away for weeks on separate occasions and returned to find the light on. When I moved to a new apartment, I set up my Alexa without issues. The bulb initially connected but later showed as unresponsive in the app. I tried everything—moving it closer to the router, multiple resets—but nothing worked. I was about to toss it when I decided to check the reviews and discovered that the issue wasn't with the bulb but with my network settings. For this bulb to connect via Alexa, it must be on the same network as Alexa and use a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection (not 5 GHz). Additionally, some routers have a feature that places wireless devices on a separate virtual network, which prevents proper communication. After disabling this feature, the bulb connected without any issues. In the end, the problem was not the bulb but my network configuration. I will be purchasing a few more.

It was not much easy for me to connect. But eventually got it connected. Now its working well for almost a year now.

what a disappointment! The Sengled Company used to provide a terrific product. I set up all of my lights with their smart bulbs and their app worked great...never any issues at all. But over the past year or so, their current app(s) have crashed frequently, making their products fall practically useless when used in conjunction with the Alexis app. Amazon would issue a notice saying Sengled was having app problems. OK, so I tried using their app stand alone to operate their bulbs, but because their app is so shaky that wouldn't work either. I spent a great deal of money buying their products and they're no rendered completely useless until they apply a workaround to their current app. And then the cycle begins all over again within weeks. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR SMART BULBS OR SMART TECHNOLOGY. I will be purchasing new smart bulbs from an established company from now on....sure, I will be paying a little more money per bulb, but it will end the intense frustration of not having working smart bulbs at my disposal. I'm SO SICK OF SENGLED's products not working. As a disabled senior, I rely on smart technology to run my lights and appliances. When I can't operate them using Alexis I get frustrated, but I thought I could at least operate them using the SENGLED app. But it's their app that is crashing all the time...they must employ third-rate coders and programmers. My recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM SENGLES PRODUCTS...THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE

Absolutely the easiest bulb to set up that I have seen. Thinking about taking all the other brands I have and replacing them with this. Alexa picked it up almost immediately. I was ready for a fight but it never came. Excellent bulb will order again.
