Excellent model from lego as always

I love this model. Its been a long time since I built lego. The build process is so addictive. The quality of materials and instructions is excellent. Comparing the price of this model with other lego technic models and plastic kit truck models - this is excellent value. Its a huge model and trailer can be changed, as I've done into other options. I would not build the specified trailer, as other options are more interesting; flat bed or low loader with a load! Because of this I had no missing parts but lots of parts left over - to make other things. I did run out of some parts of the right colour - so the bonnet is made up of grey and black, not black alone. But this adds to the model; also I added a bit of colour to the tractor as you can see in the pics.Criticisms... Lego could have given a moulded bonnet and grille to complete the look.Overall - if this is your thing you'll love this model.

Bought at a really good price for 9 year old Grandson's Christmas. Complicated but he persevered with limited supervision and was very happy with the result. Great detail and the demountable container means it can be 'played' with as opposed to just built and admired. He has some remote controlled technic lego and decided to put those motors on the trailer to lift the demountable container which worked really well. Would absolutely recommend this to any LEGO enthusiast.

My 10 year old son got this for Christmas and he loved it. He did it all himself over the course of about 4 evenings over Christmas and did it all himself, bar me stepping in to fix the occasional mistake. The lego instructions as always are as good as they can be, but you do need to just double check you do everything from time to time.The Mack truck is incredibly detailed - the cabers so many features, opening doors, steering, opening Bonnet and the trailer unit has an impressively complex lifting unit for the containers.Great model, great toy - my son loved it.

I love my Technics yeah am in my late thirties and cant get enough of them some say the prices are to much but to me the quality and the passion that go's into these it what you get along with the enjoyment of building them and showing them off. Still on the window ledge looking awesome! It was so worth the buy.

Fantastic model, 2 missing parts which is a little frustrating however the function to order missing bits through the Lego website is very good.The model itself is huge, all moving parts work very well. The build process is significant time wise and very enjoyable.

Before purchasing this kit I did read several comments about missing parts. I am afraid its true, so far I have 4 and as I cannot continue building, I have ordered these from Leg site (which is very efficient. but I now have to wait 10 days and hope there are no more missing) which is a little annoying, especially as this seems a common problem on this kit. That's why 4 stars. On the bright side, what an amazing kit to build so far!
