strong and reliable
I've used this item 6-8 times during a heavy leaf falling season, with 4 oak trees close to the pool. Pros: - vac is well built, not fragile, no loose parts - suction is a monster - picked up many many individual adult oak leaves and acorns with ease. - charge holds well - many uses before recharge - Works great on my pool's toe ledge perimeter, built in seating and everything except my top step. - After 6-8 uses, its holding up well, and its a valuable tool in cleaning the pool to perfection. - It's convenient, mostly. Super nice not to have to plug anything in when using. It's truly grab and go. - works great with any typical pool pole Cons: - The fine bag that gets the tiny dirt works well - but the bag has a small flotation device sewed in at the end of it, and once dirt falls within that sewed-off area, its impossible to fully clean out. - This is more a concern than a con - It's unknown how the power jack stays protected underwater, as it gets covered up by another piece of plastic when turned on. That coverup doesn't appear to be water proof. Either way, when i take the vacuum out of the pool and turn it off, I can see a little bit of water on the jack. The manual states that you must make sure it is dry before using. The tech is cheap to make it waterproof. I considered knocking off a star, however it doesn't seem to be the issue I thought it would be, because it goes so long without needing a charge. Verdict: Yep! it's great, and quickly spot cleans what my robot vac misses, or when leaves gather in a few spots. There is some maintenance with making sure it doesnt sit with choline and/or salt water, and making sure the power adaptor is dry. I have used it alone to clean the entire pool, (30x14) but that took some effort. When used with a Robot vac, and a simple net for the leaves on the top, it basically gets all the things the other cleaners cant, and with the least amount of effort. Like any electronic pool cleaner, it needs to be thoroughly hosed off, dried and put away in a temperature-controlled environment if you want it to last. However it's a light item, and not that difficult to do.

Most effective.
My pool blaster leaf vac (runs on aa batteries, and looks and feels like a child’s toy) died so I was shopping for a replacement and saw that they have a new rechargeable one, built the same, for $180! So I bought the Kokido, for $20 more (currently $20 amazon coupon). It is constructed nicely, and has some neat features (shuts off automatically when out of water, led light blue indicating it’s on, green when it’s running, red when it’s jammed). It works extremely well- very strong suction, enough to adhere the vac to the floor of the pool. Twigs approximately the width of a pencil are its Achilles heel, but otherwise it is extremely good at cleaning fine debris and single leaves. No reason to ever use the coarse bag- the fine bag flows great. I did remove the float in the bag - in the deep end the buoyancy is enough to pull the cleaner off the bottom of the pool. The pole connections are all plastic, and it says to rotate the device 90 degrees when pulling it out of the pool- doing so seems to put less strain on the plastic pin that it swivels on, so maybe that will prevent the breakage other reviewers have experienced. I also have a “commercial” level cordless pool vac- the watertech precision 2.0 ($700 in 2021, now it’s more) It works fine, but is cumbersome to empty, has less suction, has much smaller capacity, and has a fairly small inlet, and doesn’t work at all unless the depth is about 3 ft, so no steps.. The battery compartment gets wet unless you use silicone grease on the seal. Plus, there’s no way to get it out of the water without the dirty water in the machine from spilling some back into the pool. I gave it away, as it doesn’t do anything better than the kokido. So, compared to it, and the toy-like pool blaster leaf vac, the kokido is an insanely good value.

Excellent product
I only write reviews when a product is amazing or terrible, this one falls under amazing!!! I have an in ground, 18 x 36’, kidney shaped pool. I used this vacuum for the first time today and it took under 20 minutes to get it spotless (and it was filthy-the bottom and sides were covered with dirt, sand, grass clippings, and leaves). I have tried other vacuums (one being a Tiger Shark and a couple others that I bought and returned on Amazon) and this is the best I’ve used. It has excellent suction-gentle enough to easily glide but strong enough to stay flat and pull up all of the debris, without having to cover a spot more than once. I only emptied it once after finishing the entire pool, the bag capacity is great. I obviously can’t speak to the longevity of the vacuum, because I have only used it once, but I am so impressed with this product after this first use! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

Great product. Only one issue.
This is a well-made product that is very, very useful for pool owners. I bought the smaller one first and liked it so much I had to have the larger one. I use it in-between major cleanings. I also have a Dolphin cleaner, but I use this one a lot more. However, I imagine you could use this as your only cleaner. I think the Dolphin probably scrubs and get smaller particles. I use it a lot for quick clean ups before company comes, or when I'm just messing around in the evening. It's very easy to start, and only turns on when it hits the water. When you take it out, it stops. Battery life is excellent, will do at least 10 cleanings, probably more. The only issue I have had is during my last charging, for some reason it overheated or something. I couldn't get the plug out. Had to pry it out with a screwdriver and made a mess of the plug. But amazingly, it still works. So I have about 10 more cleanings, then I can't charge it again. Might reach out to the company to see if I can buy just a plug. If I can't get a new plug, I will most likely buy another unit. I like it that much. Overall, great product. Worth the money. Have recommended to several of my buddy pool owners.
