I bought this for its narrow size for a shower re-do. We did not use it because spacing in the shower didn't work for it. I would buy it again. It is nice quality and a modern look. Plus, it saves the expense of building a niche and tiling it.

I love how this fits perfectly in our new shower installation! Husband installed easily. It fits perfectly to hold my soap & shower gel & very sturdy! Very functional..

We used this in the bathroom but not in the shower. Looks nice with decorative items and adds to the appearance of the bathroom.

Update: After using these for several months I first rated them, I am changing to 5 stars. The streaking and water mark problem I had has not been as evident or has disappeared with use, and since I'm using soap dishes I haven't had soap bar scum to worry about. I like the niches and am happy to recommend them as a good product.

These niches aren’t cheap but are really good quality. Heavy stainless steel with a good powder coat. Should last a lifetime.

The niche does look really nice in the new bathroom. I wasn’t going to have the contractor install it for a few reasons. I returned like 3 of these and I was almost going to return this one. But my contractor seemed to approve this niche.The first reason, I was afraid the back of the wall could rot or mold eventually. As I heard when some of these niche’s gets installed a very tiny leak could happen. But my contractor assured me that it was sealed well and he would seal around the back or whatever and the sides. Plus it was away from the shower. He did a double seal around as well. It looks good and we have a place for our soaps and crap.The second reason, this thing does get finger prints so I say the inside technically is not brush, the frame around is though. That is my biggest problem, I wish this was finger print proof and more brush. But we don’t touch the niche, just the soaps and it does look nice, it’s not shiny but I really wouldn’t say this is fully brush nickel. That being said it matches the set up and I will just clean it when necessary.

This niche is very nicely finished, no welding blobs in corners. I especially like the built-in shelf drain. My husband thinks the lip on the shelf should be pointed downward or it will catch water. His way it would have the larger section of the niche on the bottom. I prefer it the way it is show, large section on top. It is angled so the water will drain. We haven't installed it yet, but I did a test in the sink and the water drained nicely, but a tiny bit still remained. The maker states that the niche can be wiped with a soft cloth. I think they are aware that it retains a small amount of water. Nothing to be concerned about at all. This is a great product.
