This states extracted from both root & leaf. why, when leaf extracts contain high levels of withaferin a, which acts as a cytotoxin?

Hi Mr. Simon, thanks for the question! :) Analysis of the findings from multiple safety and toxicity studies using extracts standardized for WA (or pure WA), both in animal models and in humans, reveals that concerns about WA cytotoxicity do not hold up under closer examination. Like many other beneficial compounds, when consumed in extremely large doses, pure WA may demonstrate toxicity; however, not only are these doses much higher than what might be used for achieving its beneficial effects, they are even further removed from the amounts of WA that would be present in any dietary supplement usages, including the amounts found in Toniiq’s Ashwagandha formulations.
