decent quality dry-brushing brushes
This set of 6 dry-brushing brushes come nicely presented in a tube which is great for keeping them separate and in nice condition, there is a good range of sizes for use on varying size pieces. The brushes themselves are well made with soft fine bristles that are gently domed. They take paint well, I use mostly acrylic, and once loaded and dabbed off work very well for bringing up textures and creating highlights on miniatures. I found they clean well and so far I’ve had no bristle shed. As for how long they last, I will have to update this review once I’ve been using them for some time. They might not be top notch brushes but I would be happy to recommend these to any miniature enthusiast.

Useful for dry brushing but not for fine detail
The dry brushing technique can be very wearing on brushes so it's nice to see a set specifically designed for this technique. The brushes are decently made and finished with lacquered handles. The brush heads are made of soft hair and gently domed. They take paint well and I would recommend not loading the brushes with too much paint and for best results I'd use a thinned paint consistency and dab them on a tissue, or absorbent surface, prior to applying the paint to the miniature.Their softness requires a gently approach to applying the paint and produces good results, picking out even the lowest of highlights. However I found that the sizes, even of the smallest brush, were a bit to large for fine highlighting using the dry brushing technique. I did find that they were good for applying weathering powders to vehicles which I think is because of their softness. For these reasons I'd certainly recommend them for use on terrain pieces or vehicles or larger areas on miniatures. After use they were easy to clean with clean water, after use with acrylic miniatures paint. Recommended

Useful Aid to Drybrushing.
As with any painting tool, these brushes require a little experimentation to find the best way of using them. As luck would have it, I'm currently doing quite a bit of work on my gaming miniatures just now, so there was plenty of scope for testing.I do quite a lot of drybrushing, probably a little too much if I'm honest, but it is a good way of getting surface texture detail on a model without taking too much time over it.This set of brushes has a variety of sizes, so I tested the smaller ones on figures and the larger ones on some terrain scenery. (Specifically assorted Reaper Bones figures plus a couple of W40K Tyranids, and the scenery being a couple of fantasy buildings from QP3D and EnderToys). The paints I used for testing were mostly Vallejo Game colours and a couple of Tamiya acrylics as well.Firstly, the brushes pick up the paint well and absorb a certain amount of its liquid content, which is a good thing for painting (DRY-brushing, right) but does mean that they require very frequent washing to keep the bristles from matting somewhat. Once excess paint is wiped off, these brushes allow for very light drybrushing, essentially dusting paint onto models which brought up scale and fur textures on the creatures I was testing very well, in some cases subtly with different shades of the same colour, in others with contrasting colours giving a much more noticeable effect. Also did chainmail well. The brushes can also be used with a little more paint left on them for larger-scale figure models (1:6 and above) and terrain scenery, to provide a much heavier drybrushing. I found the brushes gave very nice results in emphasizing stone walls. But, with lighter, dryer dusting, they also did some very good rust patina and staining. The domed shape of the brush heads makes it easier to target your drybrushing, even on fairly fine areas with the smaller brushes, and not hit adjoining areas. The brushes were rinsed out in a cup of water fairly frequently throughout, dried by wiping on a towel, pretty much as I do with all my hand-brushes. They were then washed more thoroughly after I stopped work. A few bristles came loose in washing, though none did so whilst painting, but I've yet to meet a brush of any kind that doesn't lose one or two bristles when new.The brushes are comfortable to hold, with moderately short handles that make them easier to manipulate tightly about a small figure model. They come in a sturdy card tube with a foam insert with holes in which they stand upright.Certainly for anyone, like myself, who tends toward the very dry end of drybrushing, these brushes perform admirably. I'll update the review, if necessary, some time, with regards longevity.

Worse than a makeup brush
I usually use a make-up brush for drybrush work however I purchased these to get a more complete size range, especially for more intricate sections but they do not perform anywhere close to what I'd expect. The bristles are soft and instead of just catching highlights then springing back, they stay deformed, often creating a streak on repeated strokes. The brush also seems to absorb much of the paint medium leading to the pigment being deposited in a chalky finish. The brushes have also deteriorated rapidly with rogue hairs spilling out of the sides after just a few uses. I've abandoned these and have purchased a much higher quality set.

Work well.
This pack of large brushes are very good at providing weathering and mottled effects to models. They are like makeup brushes and work best with acrylics and enamel if not loaded much at all. Gentle dabbing to load them and again to cover the desired area is best. For water-based paint you can use them to cover larger areas, and they will be much easier to clean as well.Come in a tube with foam insert in the base to hold them in place end prevent them touching each other or sliding towards the lid and damaging the heads.

A good set of basic brushes.
This is a six piece brush set with various sizes , the box art is quite nice. Upon opening the brushes sit in some sponge, so you can use the box as a stand to store your brushes in between uses. They feel nice and are easy to clean as well. The brushes are various degrees of size and are set for minature painting, however I would use these as more general brushing rather than fine detail as most of them have oversized round brush heads and not really suitable for very fine precision painting.Pros: six brushes, all different sizes, easy to clean.Cons: Designed for painting generally rather than fine work, more for brush weathering styles.

Don’t buy these brushes
These brushes are very poor quality and not adequate for dry brushing miniatures. The description does not match what arrives.
