Enter the tormented
This is not my usual sort of movie. For me the fact that it was so different made it interesting. I though the movie was very cleverly done, and everyone play their characters very well. There is a strong theme of sorrow and loss in the movie. Everyone is has a secret and trauma of their past. Some are looking to move forward other are trying for redemption that can never be found. Without being a spoiler just don't go into this movie thinking that everything will turn out ok for everyone.Liam Neeson play a tormented and aging writer, with a younger but damaged girlfriend (Olivia Wilde). Sean (Adrien Brody) is an American in Italy who run into the beautiful Monica (Morian Atias). Julia (Mila Kunis) is a desperate mother trying the win visitation rites to see her son from his Rick (James Franco) and his current partner Sam (Loan Charbanol). What connects all these different people and what are they hiding. This movie is the good side off strange and twisted for me. I kept me guessing and my attention all the way through so I was impressed. As I said this is not a feel good movie it is gloomy in parts and heart wrenching in others. An interesting ride for me.

Just okay
As I only found one review which ventured to tell me what the film was all about you can probably guess that you can make of it what you will. In my case, and judging by the reviews of quite a few others, not very much. A lot of talking and posing but not a lot else, to my mind a lot of pretentious tosh. Having said that whether it is pretentious tosh or Taken Liam Neeson remains himself, in my opinion rather wooden. Just okay because the actors and the locations were attractive and the photography stunning.See if you have the stamina to work through all the rather laboured puzzles

When you have seen Rob Roy and the Taken trio, this is a BIG disappointment.
Disappointed, NOT the Liam Neeson film we know and love.
