Scharffen Berger Baking Bar, Unsweetened Dark Chocolate (99% Cacao), 9.7-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2)

My wife and I love the rich dark chocolate taste of this bar. We melt in to make amazing mousse and other keto deserts. Will buy it again as soon as this bar is gone!

I was surprised with the quality of this chocolate because I've never gone beyond the normal grocery store baking chocolate. Definitely will get this again.

The best and purest and greatest DARK Chocolate ever!!! Bottom line, try it if you are like me a real Chocolate Connoisseur and you will be addicted as I am, and if you know how to prepared it right ( I mixed with only dates ) it will be something you can enjoy eating daily and NOT GAIN WEIGHT EVER, as I do!!!

I bought it assuming its 4g carb/serving like other unsweetened chocolate. When I got it, it says 14g carbs/serving! How is this possible when unsweetened chocolate is typically 4g carbs?

I buy unsweetened chocolate to eat because I like it better than sweetened, and because I don't consider milk chocolate to even *be* chocolate any more. I don't bake with it. I bought this chocolate when my local store ran out of the Montezuma 100% cocoa bars. At the same time, I bought an unsweetened Ghirardelli bar, and one other. The Scharfen Berger has a lighter, slightly more acidic flavor than the others - possibly not alkinized? I have no idea - and slightly lighter color to go with it. I happen to like the darker, rounder flavor better, but this was a perfectly fine chocolate flavor and some might like it better.It's advertised as a baking chocolate, and that's what it is. For my purposes - eating it like candy - the consistency wasn't great. It's kind of brittle and it shatters into crumbs and flakes when you try to break it apart. I don't consider that a flaw because it never claimed to be an eating chocolate. I *hoped* it might work that way, but it's not Scharfen Berger's problem that their chocolate does exactly what it says on the box, rather than what I hoped.I probably won't buy this again, but that's mostly because I don't need a baking chocolate. If I did, I'd want to do some comparisons to see how I like the flavor compared to other darker dark chocolates, but I think it might be fine, possibly better than fine.

My friend loves it because it is healthy although it’s not tasty at all.

makes the best hot drinking chocolate. Very thick, and rich.

I use this product to make sugarfree, dairyfree, egg free ice cream. Also gluten free.Only product that I have found that gives a good chocolate taste.
