The media could not be loaded.  I got this music box for my 3-year-old son. I had a music box when I was a little girl that my mom would wind up every night before I went to bed, and I’d drift off to sleep while listening to those happy tunes. I wanted the same memory for my son.I’ve been singing the song ‘You are my Sunshine’ to my son every day since the day he was born. It’s his favorite song in the world, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try this one.Thoughts:- First and foremost, please be warned that it sounds nothing like the video that’s posted in the listing photos area. You’ll have to watch/listen to my attached video to get a more accurate idea of what it sounds like.- It’s pretty easy to wind up, even my son can do it himself.- It’s a bit smaller than I was expecting, but truthfully, it’s the perfect size.- It’s pretty fragile, so I wouldn’t get this for a child to play with. My son has already broken it by dropping it on the floor, and my husband had to come to the rescue to put the pieces back together.Overall, I absolutely love it, and so does my son. It’s quickly become his favorite part of his bedtime routine. Definitely recommend.

This music box is simply beautiful. I love the precision engraving of the hearts around the base, and the angel is lovely. This would make a perfect gift for any occasion. It has a nice weight to it, so it's very stable and the music plays at just the right volume. I ordered this item for myself, but I might end up giving it as a new mom's gift at a baby shower because I think it would be lovely in a nursery. I can't say enough good things about it. Absolutely enchanting!

This tiny music box is precious. It’s an Angel holding a dove and it plays Somewhere over the Rainbow. Music from Wizard of Oz (not Sound of Music). It would make a beautiful gift for someone who lost a loved one. I’ve added it next to my pets urn who just passed away & it looks beautiful. It arrives boxed and no additional battery was needed. Just spin the bottom to wind and the Angel will spin around holding the dove while the music plays. I hope you found this review helpful. ;)

A lovely, petitite, well-crafted music box, with a moving, sculpted depiction of love. The winding mechanism for the music box is inuitive, and the arrangement of the song admirably complex but easily recognizable.

I ordered something else and received this item instead, but decided to keep it my daughter liked it, and it now sits on her desk.
