Really wide view, very discreet
It will take some trial and error to get this set up properly. The angle is really wide, and you get almost a panoramic view. The downside is that the picture has a bit of a fisheye effect. This camera is best used for surveillance or tracking, not taking magazine covershots. The camera itself is surprisingly thin, and the solar panel is as big as the camera itself. The performance is comparable to some of the name-brand dark ops or covert ops cameras. With normal cameras, the infrared LEDs have a faint glow, which can alert or spook the target animal. This one uses no-glow LEDs, so the target has no idea anything is there. The wifi feature is handy for viewing photos from a short distance. I was originally planning on mounting the camera up high in a tree and pointing down at a trail, but the view angle is so wide I may need to rethink that plan.

Decent Hidden Security Cam for the Price
My husband and I bought our first home, and it's in a pretty rural spot. The driveway is pretty steep and rocky, so we park our cars and trailers at the head of the driveway, a little off from the main road. This was such a mistake cause we can't see the end of the driveway from our house. Woke up one morning to realize we had a couple of car batteries stolen from us, which was super upsetting. We looked into getting security cameras put in, but everything needed wifi or some expensive subscription. Admittedly, everything feels exponentially more expensive after you've just pour your entire savings into a home, so maybe we're just price-sensitive buyers, but we really wanted to get a solution for under a hundred bucks. When this came on the Amazon Vine program, I checked it out and did some research into the makers of this camera. I was also happy to see that they have a 50% promo coupon, which is still active at time of writing this review, a few months after I ordered our unit.Thoughts:• The image quality is very decent, even in night mode.• The manual was actually kind of overwhelming, but once I got down to actually programming the camera, it was pretty easy to figure things out.• The exterior design is very nice, the camera is very covert. I was worried people would notice it, especially with the solar panel, but nobody seems to have looked directly into the camera, and we've since gotten some high res images of our trespassers.• The camera takes SD cards of up to 128GB (U3 Class 10 micro recommended).• My main struggle with this camera is getting the sensitivity setting right... still fiddling with it to find the sweet spot between getting flooded with photos and not capturing important "visitors"...Overall, I'm very pleased that we found this security solution. It's not connected to the cloud, nor our mobile phones, but at $80 (using the 50% off coupon), this is an affordable and reliable option given our current situation, and helps us sleep a little easier at night knowing that if the "visitors" strike again, at least we'd have super high-res photos of them.

Dead
Update 11/11/2023:I am returning the product since I never received a response from the seller's given email [email protected] for technical service. I chose an exact replacement from Amazon--somewhat of a gamble given my experience so far. If the replacement has so much as a scratch, I'll be returning it for a refund as there is no room for error with this product and lack of service/response from the seller. At least until I receive and operate the replacement, I continue to strongly recommend not purchasing this product. As of today, I have just sent an email in the manual regarding this product and am awaiting a response. The camera was charged and set up per instructions. After taking 1 photo and 1 10-second video, it does nothing else. After ensuring 100% charge and reviewing setup, upon turning the camera on, nothing happens--no IR light responding, no photo, no video--dead.Depending on the response, assuming I receive one, I will update this review. At this point, I highly recommend not buying this product.

Lens Not Protected from Condensation (UPDATED)
UPDATE: After a brief email exchange, the maker agreed the original unit was defective, and has sent me a replacement unit as it was still within the warranty period. The new unit has, so far, worked fine within the designated operating temperature range. So, given they do stand behind the product, my initial impression was premature, and I therefore am back to 5-stars for product quality *and* support.--This is a really nice little game camera. My first, actually, so I didn't know what to expect. So far, it's been great at capturing things that pass by, and the imagery is fine enough. Though huge! Beware just that a 1-min video can easily consume 100mb, so you'll fill your Google Photos quota quickly if you back those up. The app is clunky, but functional. Solar charging has been sufficient so far, even in the woods. Support is not from native English speakers, and woefully dismissive, so you're pretty well on your own.The biggest problem I've encountered was just recently, and it's a doozy as illustrated in the photos! The outer glass lens cover isn't sealed sufficiently to keep condensation out. As a result, when the temp goes below freezing, moisture condenses on the inner lens glass and the photos are hazy as shown in the attached comparisons. The "support" responded that the design spec is for the operating range to be -10*C to +50*C. As the attached photos show, the failure occurs at 0*C, which just outside the acceptable range of error. At this point, the manufacturer has shown no interest in addressing this failure honorably. I'd offer this unit a 5-star review across the board, if not for that one issue with coldness and condensation. Above freezing all the time? Probably a great buy! (Just don't expect support.)
