Nokta The Legend Metal Detector, Waterproof Detector for Adults with 12" Coil

Best detector for the money hands down! If you’re thinking about it just buy it. Either this or the tripple score! The tripple score is the same thing only with less features and more dumbed down.. The legend you can fine tune better to your liking and has slightly better discrimination IMO. You can’t go wrong with either one!

Love it! I replaced a very very old detector I inherited so this was certainly a leap into the present. My use is unusual in that I like to search for iron. My property used to be part of a ranch and I've found some pretty interesting artifacts like broken plow teeth and a mangled hatchet (looks like it tangled with a brushhog) Beyond that it is super helpful finding property medallions around the neighborhood (lots from 1acre to 5 acres). Many folks have no idea where their property lines are. Most recently I used it to locate the fiber line on my property when a crew was installing a large retaining wall for me. The detector detected the aluminum tracer in the fiber cable. Again this is opposite normal targets that folks would search for and I used settings to that effect - allowing for trash instead of blocking it.

I have been watching YouTube vids on metal detecting for quite a while and decided to pull the trigger and get one of my own. Now, the pros that I see online seem to almost universally use the MineLab Manticore which has a fairly steep investment cost and I didn't want to shell out so much for a first detector. I chose The Legend because it has a good middle of the road price point and it has been out for several years and there are more than a few vids online that describe how to use it, how to dial in the settings for each of the modes. Being a multi frequency machine, it has the ability to do salt water hunting which is nice since I have access to the beach several times a year. The setup is not hard to do. The hard part is knowing what the settings should be. The info is out there and of course there are differing theories on what the settings should be. A notebook is handy to write down the settings you use and the results you get with them. I added a waterproof headphone set (wired) after I discovered that Bluetooth will not transmit underwater. I'm going to invest in wireless headphones at some point but for now I will use either the wired ones or the built in speaker for non-beach hunting. I also got the screen protector glass (set of 3) which sure looks like a good idea. The Nokta pinpointer that comes with this set is very nice, a great value. I have a ski area nearby and got permission to hunt it after the ski season is over...really looking forward to that.

This is so fun! I live on an old homestead so there are some cool things to find! I have never used a metal detector before and am happy to have purchased this one! Works great, is user friendly and the hand held pinpointer is awesome!

If you’re just starting out, you are starting off with a very good detector. This is perfect for your entire family to use because it’s so easy to set and go. Found a few items at my local park and even in my yard. I cannot wait to go to beach and use it. Instead of trying to buy a very expensive one like I did, just buy something like this one and see if you even have the patience for metal detecting, it’s a nice hobby once you put the time and effort into it. Give it a shot, and expect there things to come in looking like they have been used, most of what’s sent it are returns. If you’re not sure, ask the seller if it’s a brand new item, they will let you know in your messages on account tab on the app.

So far it’s been pretty easy to use. I need to invest more time in getting my settings right but overall it’s been good. The pin pointer is super helpful. Also love how light it is, nothing like the older heavy ones.

Not easy for me to learn. Watched some you tubes, but it has too much for a beginner. I’ll see how it goes at the beach.

Been into metal detecting for a good lot of years its a hobby really enjoy. Really please with the quality and performance from the nokta legend. Takes a we while to under stand the software and how to a just the settings. Once the settings are adjusted correctly you can pick up different types of metal at a good depth under the ground.

Gute Updates seitens Nokta, viele Settings um zuverlässig in verschiedenen Umgebungen zu arbeiten. Angenehmes leichtes Hands on auch nach stundenlangen sondeln, Akku hält die ganze Nacht mit aktiviert Licht. Mit dem pinken Dr Ötek Pinpointer hat er Probleme beide stören sich auch bei Frequenzwechsel. Mit den Nokta Accu Point Pinpointer läuft alles wunderbar.

Compré el detector Nocta The Legend y, tras haberlo usado varias veces, puedo decir que funciona genial. Da muy buenas señales y es fácil de manejar incluso para alguien que, como yo, es nuevo en este mundillo. El detector viene acompañado del puntero accupoint de Nocta, que también es una auténtica maravilla y muy preciso, lo que facilita mucho la localización de los objetivos. Al no tener mucha experiencia, me surgieron algunas dudas, así que me puse en contacto con el vendedor. Me facilitaron el contacto de Fran, quien me atendió de manera excelente.
