York Strength Training Bar

Had around 90KG on and it felt sturdy, the grips are textured and the bar is smooth. Happy with the price and quality!

Reading the reviews one cannot decide whether the spring collars are included or not. Assuming they would not be included I ordered them. My York bar was delivered ahead of the separately purchased collars and, of course, had a set of collars included in the package.Several days later the spring collars I ordered arrived, and it turns out I ordered the wrong (olympic) sized ones anway. So now I have to return the collars which will cost almost as much as the product did so not a great ending.But the bar is great and is so much better than spinlock which is time consuming!

I got the 5 foot bar. It’s on the smaller side but you could easily fit 3 maybe 4 25kg metal plates on either side. It’s very sturdy. It does not come with locks to keep the weight in place. I bought these additionally and they were only £2 or £3. The packaging is pretty poor. Mine was just wrapped in plastic protective film. Luckily there was no damage. It’s definitely a decent bar and I would recommend it

Bar turned up in a very ragged condition with the plastic wrapper barely attached and filthy dirty. This has obviously been thrown around by Amazons couriers.It actually looked second hand when it turned up and was in two minds if I should refuse delivery.The chrome finish isn't the best - very rough and pitted ,but it will serve its purpose after a thoroughly good cleaning.No spring collars included , wish I'd have known at the time of purchase otherwise I'd have ordered them. My fault I guess for assuming they would be included. No big deal. Good product, arrived in two days although estimated time was a week. Unfortunate that the knurling is one long unbroken section with no rings - you need to judge grip width by eye every time you pick up the bar or put elastic bands on it. Admittedly a minor gripe.

Really pleased with feel and quality of this item ....would have expected to pay double! Also included in the package were Spring Collars and Rubber washers to prevent weight discs making a noise against the stops. I'm an experienced and regular bodybuilder so this will get plenty of use for Benching etc, and I'm certain it will last a lifetime. Delivery was superfast too (next day!) I'd definitely recommend this to anyone!

I went for the 5ft bar. Didn't come with any clips which im not too bothered about. Would have just been a bonus. Packaging wise there was plastic sleeve over it.

Recently received the 6ft bar - it came with spring collars. Odd how some people are getting these and some are not. However the spring collars are a bit cheap and nasty compared to the Bodymax ones - in particular the plastic handles are more flimsy. The bar itself is good value for money IMO. Was some slight scuffing one one of the knurled areas but you don't buy it to look at so not an issue.
