First of all, i’m an American and haven’t seen nor tasted kimchi before until now, so take that my words mean barely a grain a salt. But, this is good kimchi, i like the spice and the sweet/sourness of the kimchi, along with the combined flavor of my own cooked meat, i had to restrain myself from eating the whole can cause i only bought one, aside from that fact the kimchi is very watery, i drained most of the liquid but left some as to keep more flavor. But as i mentioned in the title, this is good for delivery kimchi brand, regardless of how good a amazon kimchi can be, i believe in the fact that if you go to the country yourself and buy/eat the traditional kimchi there, you will open yourself up to a whole world of kimchi cuisine which may or may not be better than this. So for this to be as good as it is, i feel more motivated to go try out the different kinds of kimchi cuisine in korea and more beyond that, as this gave me high expectations. So thank you.

Canned kimchi is a new thing to me. It’s shelf stable and has a decent flavor. The serving size s decent and because it’s shelf stable the serving size is perfect for a quick steamed rice and kimchi snack. Or supplement with a nice ramen dish. While not the most flavorful it is a handy kitchen stable to have in case you need a smaller supply. I will use this again in the future. Texture and taste make this a decent kitchen use item. Highly suggested.

Got this to make kimchi Fried Rice and thought the flavor was great. Mild spice level. It is expensive for the little amount you get. Definitely recommend for recipes or first timers

I'm a Korean so I've had my family's homemade kimchi (which is the best), restaurant kimchi, store bought, family friend's..u get the idea. This is the first time I've tried canned. With the pandemic going on I thought I'd try out and review the kimchi I could find online. For napa cabbage kimchi, I opened this up, and looked meh. The smell wasn't the same as my family or even the store bought which I find really good. It was just so so. As far as ripeness (fermentation) goes, it wasn't too bad. It still had a little crunch to it, the spice level was definitely Korean but on the milder side. There are different stages of ripeness. There is1. fresh, there is 2.perfect ripe, there is 3.ripe right before over ripe, and there is 4. over ripe (has a carbonated taste to it - no go for me at this point). This was like in between 2 and 3. about another week and it would be a 3. It would be perfect to make kimchi fried rice. Will I buy it again? No. Why? because honestly you get so little for the buck. Has nothing to do with the taste. It just wasn't enough. If you want it for say your ramen, go for it. But for Koreans who eat it as a staple, nah.

I'm a Kdrama fanatic, and if there's anything you know you're going to find in any Korean drama, it's people guzzling soju and eating Kimchi - spiced cabbage. Soju (sorta like rice wine) is tough to find, but Amazon has responded to its legions of Prime Kdrama fans by making it possible to try Kimchi straight from South Korea. So how is it? Well, it's not something I'd eat straight out of the tin, the Koreans like spicy foods a lot more than me, but adding it to other foods as a side dish or mixed in with it works just fine and gives soups a little more tang. I'd still go for the Trader Joe's Kimchi if you have one near you, but otherwise it's a good buy.
