I bought the truck new in 2008 so this same brake light had been on the truck for 15 years, most of which, it was kept outside the garage. I needed this quickly and the shipping was fast. Actually got it 1 day earlier than expected. Installation was relatively smooth. The harness does work but I opted to not use the harness due to needing to remove the inner headliner where the harness connects. What I did do was cut the wires that lead to the bulbs, cut my old wires, and splice the cables to the original harness (Just Youtube for this "patching or splicing new 3rd light brake harness). The light itself improved my vision in the late afternoons during winter (gets dark quickly), when I have to back my truck into my driveway. I was shocked at how dim my old light had gotten compared to these new bulbs. And best of all, no more leaks in the cab (only had 1 small leak which is what made me realize my old one was cracked open). The fit is near perfect. I did add some silicone around the seal to help prolong the life of the seal.
