This SIM provider is an outstanding solution for simplicity (pun intended) affordability, and support. Needed to set up a hotspot for nanny-cams to monitor my mother-in-law who has dementia. Chose spectrum, and have been thrilled with my decision. Not only was the initial activation a surprising breeze, the subscription options were perfect for my budget. Spectrum recently updated their network which required updating my SIM chip. They sent me a new SIM (free) and transferred my account settings and existing data balance over to the new chip. The process was seamless with virtually no interruption in service; very important factors given the function this provides. Throughout the process, order, shipment, installation, etc, Maria at Spectrum Customer Service, held my hand and answered all my silly questions; often within minutes of my emails! This level of service is becoming increasingly rare these days!! My hats off to Spectrum, as a company, and especially to Maria as an exemplary representative!

Using this for my aftermarket Android radio. It automatically connected, no manual setup was required. Works great.

This was relatively easy to set up on my Gl.Inet device. Also after I had it set up and needed to pause data to troubleshoot a test device and then restart data service, Maria from customer service was very responsive and helpful.

I ordered a Puffin SIM Card from Amazon and received it quickly exactly as listed. The instructions were easy to follow, but did not work. I contacted CS and chatted with Maria who walked me through the easy to follow instructions confirming I did everything correctly, only to discover I had a NETGEAR 770 hot spot not previously known to be incompatible with the Puffin SIM. I purchased a NETGEAR Nighthawk MR1100 Hot Spot that was known to be compatible and now the Puffin SIM I purchased installed and configured perfectly following the instructions provided. Thank you Maria for outstanding Customer Service with all your help working through the initial non-compatible hot spot. You saved much frustration and patiently took the time to work with me to discover the issue, answering all my questions along the way. You are a credit to Puffin!

I use a BlackVue DR970X-2CH LTE Plus (NA) dashcam that takes a SIM card, and I specifically needed a data-only SIM with wide coverage and a cost-friendly plan. I spent a lot of time researching different SIM providers and networks, and that search ultimately led me to the Spectrum Smart SIM. I've been using it for 6+ months now, and it has been a solid experience. My previous SIM only supported 4G, but Spectrum recently sent me an upgraded SIM that supports 5G, which was a nice improvement. On top of that, their data plans are now more competitive than what I was seeing elsewhere. The best part is the coverage. The 5G SIM works with T-Mobile and AT&T, depending on the area, and it automatically connects to whichever network has the best signal. That has made a noticeable difference for me, especially when driving through remote areas-it's reassuring knowing the SIM will switch to the strongest available network instead of getting stuck on a weaker one like some other providers. The setup was also straightforward. Activation was easy, and the only manual step was entering the APN settings, which took just a minute. After that, it worked right away.If you're using an LTE/5G dashcam and want a reliable data-only SIM with strong coverage and flexible plans, this has been an excellent option for me so far. Was expecting to have to change settings on my camera, put in and started working immediately. the subscription plans are better and cheaper than most other sims. my previous was charging $155 a year that came with my camera... edit I bought a year subscription, after 3 months the sim stopped working, contacted support, they reset sim said sim was fine, I bought a new one from their company, bought another year subscription and I thought it was working fine, support transferred the additional time to the new sim for me which was nice... overall however the sims must just not get the service in my area like the used to because it is still not working... Wasted like $60.. and had to swap over to eiotclub sims that are working great... shame because eiotclub is a lot more expensive for their plans. buyer beware some areas dont have best coverage I suppose... worked originally for 3 months, now it won't.

So far so good. Works like a charm
