200 Set Unfoldable 5 x 7 Inch Pure Cotton Watercolor Cards Set Blank Cotton Watercolor Cards with Envelopes 140 lb Heavyweight Paper Postcards for Art Painting(5 x 7 Inch,Unfoldable)

I teach water colour painting at a senior center. Students often like to start on a smaller scale. Water Colour Cards are perfect for this. And these 100% cotton ones are great. The Center then makes some money by selling cards that the students sometimes donate back to the Center. Win-Win

I painted three similar cards to test this paper. Top left is the smooth side, top right is the rough side, and the bottom is Strathmore brand that I've been using for years. Strathmore isn't 100% cotton but in my opinion performs better. Color grabs on this paper but can be lifted. The color seems more vibrant but does not blend well. Wet on wet isn't a good fit for this paper. Damp on dry and then blending seems to work best. Blending is tedious. I'm not convinced it's cotton. It definitely performs more like pulp. I'll use it because I bought it. Don't like the rough texture lines. Paint grabs in them and doesn't like to blend. Took a close up to demonstrate texture. Will update review if I find better techniques with this paper.

I would like to say I have been very pleased with these watercolor cards so far. I have looked for all cotton cards at a reasonable prices for a long time and came across these. Pleased with the cards and the envelopes. They handle wet washes well and don’t bend and curl too much, better than non all cotton cards. The count was 200 cards and envelopes as stated. I will buy these again when I run out.

This set of cards is nice. I often paint a special card for people, and having these pre-cut to size and with an envelope makes it easier. It’s a bit enough pack, too, to use at get-togethers with crafty friends. My friends love to chat, but they also like to do something creative. So these are perfect — not too big, since the friends need to be able to chat and drink wine and eat snacks too. 
 I like that this paper is thick and sturdy enough to withstand a lot of water. My watercolor paper often gets too wet and (good grief) sometimes balls up from all that water. That hasn’t happened with this paper, so I’m pretty happy.
