We have had it for several years now and both small dog and cat use it. Hole in door has to be cut very accurately.

This was actually a replacement for the last one, the dog stuck her head threw it :/ Easy enough to replace, … originally i had to mess about with cutting the bolts down and making some square washers to support it on the PVC door, but if youre cutting a hole in your door for this, you should be able to deal with any issues that pop up. Its cheap enough but made very well for the cats intended (not for large dog heads)

Bought this to replace an identical looking Staywell cat flap that broke. However, despite the description "Original" and the fact it looks the same and has identical operation, it is annoyingly not the same as the original. It is narrower in width than the broken original, therefore impossible to install, as the screw holes on one side or the other will be in mid-air.

Dålig plast som enkelt går sönder. Ogenomtänkt design som gör det svårt att montera med skruvhål osv.

Installation a little fiddly - especially try to align the square shank of the bolts with the square holes in the frame and then engage the nuts, once bolts have been cut to length. However, this is a small price to pay for a quality device.

Llegué a la PetSafe Staywell Original porque nuestra gata llevaba semanas pidiéndonos abrir y cerrar la puerta del jardín como si fuera un hotel 😅. Con dos niñas correteando y el trajín diario, necesitábamos una solución que le diera libertad a ella y un respiro a nosotros. Un amigo que también tiene mascotas me habló de esta puerta, y decidí probarla. La instalación me resultó bastante sencilla, quizá porque tengo mano con las herramientas por mi trabajo en la industria ⚙️, pero aun así creo que cualquier persona con un poco de paciencia puede montarla sin problemas. Lo que más me gustó es lo natural que fue para nuestra gata empezar a usarla; en cuestión de minutos ya iba y venía como si la puerta hubiera estado allí siempre. Y en casa se notó la diferencia: menos interrupciones, menos “maullidos reclamando servicio” y más calma para todos 🏠. El marco es resistente y la compuerta tiene un movimiento suave que no hace ruidos molestos. Además, visualmente no rompe la estética de la puerta, algo que mi mujer —siempre pendiente del detalle— agradeció 😉 ✔️ Puntos positivos Instalación simple y bien explicada: incluso para quienes no son muy manitas. Flujo libre para la mascota: realmente reduce interrupciones en el día a día. Materiales resistentes: la compuerta se siente firme y aguanta bien el trote. ⚠️ Puntos a mejorar El cierre manual es algo básico: cumple, pero podría tener un sistema un poco más robusto. Precious home owner had this catdoor built in and taped off as it was broken. Glad to find this type is still sold, so it was an easy replacement.
