I bought two golf ball retrievers for my parents as they're getting into golf. After trying both, I have to say this one didn't quite measure up. While it's decent on its own, in comparison to the other option, its extension isn't as sturdy, making picking up the ball a bit tricky. If the ball's in the water, it's useful, but for short distances on grass, walking might be easier. All in all, it's a pretty average product.

This is a decent ball retriever and it will get the job done. However, it's not the best out there. The mechanism is all plastic. It's also a very simple spring loaded clip system. It works, but I doubt it will last for the long haul.

My previous ball retriever was much more lightweight than this one and far less effective at picking up the ball. I accept that this was a little more expensive but it is worth every penny.
