Good for the price
Good cheap switch. Doesn’t have stp protection so loops can form and clog the switch. I used this as a 2.5g media converter for my incoming fiber internet connection. The included 12v power supply is ok. I used a usb c trigger to power it with no problems. Also runs 10g base t spf with no issues just gets hot as its fan less

Does exactly what it says it does. Reliably.
I bought this to terminate the upstairs end of an optical fiber (Using a cheap 10GBase-SR SFP+) between the upstairs and downstairs of my AZ home. I wanted optical fiber because my connection is up/down and in AZ the induced surge in copper Ethernet from nearby (~ 1 mile) lightning strikes has twice blown out simple Ethernet switches. I knew with only a 1Gbps internet connection into my home it would be over-kill for bandwidth but I wanted to be ready for full-duplex fiber arriving one day. I had not appreciated the improvement in subjective LAN behavior brought by the lower latencies introduced by the fast buffer movements in my switches though. I do move large video files and Linux distribution ISOs around my network and now regularly see 600MBps (disk limited) transfers, and 150MBps for thousands of small files too. Very happy. This switch is quiet (fanless), runs cool, is so far reliable, and fast. The fabric is able to keep up with multiple 10GbE flows so it checks all of my needs, even the ones I had not realized before purchase. It does accept off-brand (cheap) SFP+. Recommended.

Easy plug and play 2.5Gb RJ45 10GB sfp+
works great. plug it into your 2.5GB capable router and split it off to other pcs. Also has 2 SFP+ ports for high speed LAN between 2 pcs on home network. SFP+ 10gig card 40$ SFP+ transceiver 12$ 8$ for lc to lc multimode fiber cable. If you have multiple pcs that sends data backs and forth this is the ultimate setup on buget. 10gb copper is good but those components cost much more. After a few days of use I have come to realize the SFP transceiver gets very warm when in the switch. I put a small desk fan set on low to move a little air into the vent holes o one side of switch and out the other side. this helped tremendously. SFP+ transceiver is a 10gtek

Good value for money. SFP+ ports have compatibility issues with different modules.
Works fine. iperf3 says speed is close enough to 2.5Gbps. The only issue is that SFP+ ports are quite picky. I tried 3 different SFP+ to RJ-45 modules and only one of them (10Gtek 10GBase-T) worked with this switch.

Working as described
Currently working on my 2 gig network connection with no issues. Will soon try to add my NAS from my 1 gig switch to this one.

Broke after 4 days
Review for is for the [sic] "6 Port 2.5G Umanaged Ethernet Switch, 4 x 2.5G Base-T Ports, 2 x 10G SFP" variant. I purchased this to replace a SFP+ media converter while providing a few extra 2.5G ports. While it worked fine initially, including speed tests showing full ISP bandwidth (2Gbit) over both 2.5G and 10G ports, after about 4 days it stopped passing most traffic, only allowing DNS and ICMP (just enough to ping successfully), but no other web traffic. Restarts and trying other transceivers (3Com, Ipolex, 10Gtek, and a few others) did not help. All my transceivers work fine in my other equipment (two Mikrotik switches and the 10Gtek media converter), as does my ISP gateway and other switches. When I put my 10Gtek media convertor back in place everything functions again without even rebooting a single machine. One of the 2.5G ports was connected to one of my Ubuntu machines that runs nightly Github actions that shows it failed in the middle of the night. No network configuration changes could have been made at that time to cause problems. The problem affected all ports and all of my computers, both Windows and Linux. Given it initially worked but failed after a few days I'm concerned the manufacturing quality is poor and would not feel confident a replacement would be reliable over time. This is a very odd failure mode for an unmanaged switch. There's nothing to configure and no other network configuration changes occurred when it failed since it happened in the middle of the night. This was used in a climate controlled environment (my home) at all times with all other networking components in provably working condition.

YuanLey YS25-0402 with FlexOptic 10G BiDi — Perfect 10Gb Fibre Backbone Setup
I’m using the YuanLey YS25-0402, the model with 4× 2.5Gb ports and 2× 10Gb SFP+ uplinks, and I paired it with FlexOptic 10G BiDi LC transceivers programmed to MSA/Generic so any switch can use them. The setup worked instantly and far better than I expected. ✔️ 10Gb Optics Work Perfectly The moment I inserted the FlexOptic BiDi modules, the switch locked in at 10,000 Mbps full-duplex with zero problems. No vendor lock, no config, no negotiation issues — literally plug-and-play. The link is: Fully stable No flapping or drops No packet errors Runs cool Works flawlessly across floors For a budget unmanaged switch, the behaviour is honestly impressive. ✔️ Using It as a Home Fibre Backbone My setup uses a 60m run of bend-insensitive LC-UPC fibre to link my ground floor to my third floor. Ground Floor → Third Floor (10Gb BiDi Fibre): SFP+ Port 1 → FlexOptic BiDi (MSA/Generic) Single-strand fibre (BiDi saves one core) SFP+ Port 1 on the second switch → matching FlexOptic module Solid 10Gb link end-to-end On the third floor I feed: My PC via 2.5Gb PCIe My ASUS TUF-AX3000 V2 in AP mode (full 2.5Gb backhaul) Even with heavy transfers, the 10Gb backbone stays completely stable. ✔️ Real-World Performance Fibre backbone: 10Gb stable with <1ms latency PC gets full 2.5Gb AP delivers 900–1200 Mbps WiFi 6 in the same room No bottlenecks, no slowdowns The second SFP+ port also leaves room for upgrades (NAS, another floor, 10Gb server, etc.). ✔️ Final Verdict The YuanLey YS25-0402 + FlexOptic 10G BiDi LC (MSA/Generic) combo is honestly one of the best affordable multi-gig solutions you can build. You get: A real 10Gb optical backbone 2.5Gb multi-gig on each floor Full stability Universal optic compatibility Silent, cool, and completely plug-and-play For the price, the performance is on par with switches that cost 3× more. Highly recommended.

Ottimo Switch
