Big Berkey Gravity-Fed Stainless Steel Countertop Water Filter System 2.25 Gallon with 2 Authentic Black Berkey Elements BB9-2 Filters

We bought the Berkey 2.25 2 months ago with optional water view spigot. The spigot makes it “professional”. You KNOW how much is in it - so then you KNOW how much to add. It is best to fill when low or out to effectively use all of the height of the black filter, however if the column has the floating ball at about an inch, then add three 2-quart containers without fear of overflow. Takes a little practice but we never had more than a few drops of overflow. You’ll have to adjust for other size units. Outstanding.

Super easy to assemble, and the water tastes incredibly fresh. The filters work amazingly well—definitely worth it! We live in a camper & the size is perfect, the facet leaked one time but just have to tighten spout, great product & worth the price!

The system does not filter effectively because it is made so cheaply. for such a price I expect more than 2 pieces of stainless steel. The chambers have 4 holes for filters to go through and sit within but the filters nozzles are smaller than the holes without any grommets. The filters nozzles are also such cheap plastic that you cannot make a seal with the given system.

Put it together yesterday with the help of my husband. Not simple, with having to prime the pumps and then test set up using red food dye! I bought the stand and I am so glad I did, or you would need to set it at the edge of your counter to be able to use the spigot. It is very attractive, so I don't mind it being on the counter. Don't make the mistake I did. My husband filled the top unit and let it run through. Later, I filled the top unit again, thinking it was for holding more water. when I came back to the kitchen, it was leaking everywhere! I took the top compartment off and poured it out! Not for storage!

The well water where I live is not drinkable due to the ground being solid clay. The tap water runs yellow. With the Berkey I have the best tasting, clearest water I have ever experienced. Simple to assemble, priming the filters gave me trouble at first but I got the hang of it pretty quickly and had delicious water in no time!

Our water filter has majorly improved our water consumption. Not only are we drinking more water but we are both feeling significantly more hydrated. I used a brita for years but It is much nicer to have the larger reservoir in this filter, less refills, less frequent filter replacement and a better filtration system in general. When my wife found out that she was pregnant she insisted that we upgrade our water filtration system. We use the standard berkey filters and also the added chlorine/flouride filters that they sell which integrate straight into this system. We keep our setup right next to the sink for easy refills too. If you're considering changing water filters this should be a strong consideration

I love our berkey. Our city water tastes so much better now. The filters are a bit costly but for just the two of us it will be a while before we have to change them. The instructions for setup sucked but with help from a friend we got it sorted. Hope I never have to but would reinvest in this product again.
