So cute!
Iâve been in a book slump lately and How to Honeymoon Alone has resurrected me!This is a quick and easy read, but also oh-so enjoyable. Philip and Edenâs banter had me blushing and kicking my feet like I was in the middle of it.This is a grumpy/sunshine romance but Philip isnât so grumpy that heâs unlikable-just the opposite! I love how even from the beginning he was amused by Eden. I enjoyed how ready he was to go out and experience new things with Eden, even after what he went through. Heâs a workaholic, but was willing to put it aside just to spend some time with the cute teacher whoâs dinner he busted into.Eden is adorable and such a great FMC! I love how she decided right from the beginning to make the best of her situation and enjoy what would have been her honeymoon, anyway. I felt like I got a real idea if her as a person and her identity outside of her relationship with Philip. Also, I really liked how quick she was to be willing to walk away from Philip when she felt his energy was off. She flat out said she wouldnât stick around and if he was going to be miserable and it was great. Overall, I loved her!Genuinely adored this book and Iâm looking forward to reading more from Olivia Hayle!

BOOKWORM REVIEW: How to Honeymoon Alone by Olivia Hayle
RATING: ââââ.5SPICE: đ„đ„.5Eden went on this tropical vacation hoping to shake off the problems she has left behind at home. More prominently was her ex-fiancĂ© whom she caught with her ex-best friend. Her goal for her solo honeymoon: find a few adventures and get enough relaxation to forget all about her ex.When a grumpy but good-looking man barges into her table, Eden did not expect that he would be keeping her company all trip along. Philip is also on this trip alone after his own fiancĂ© and he broke things off.In a place where everyone is almost paired off with their soulmates, Eden and Philip band together to make their time alone on the resort a little less lonely. Can these two opposites find what they lost in the most unexpected place? This single-POV read is an exquisite slow burn between two people who were grieving the loss of their previous relationships even though they understood that they were no good for them anyway. I love Eden and Philip's meet-cute, and the arc of their relationship -- despite being complete opposites -- was fun to watch. Like I said, the whole process to the spice is low and slow, but Olivia Hayle serves up some wonderful tension with fun resort activities to build up the connection between our main characters. The best supporting star award of this read goes to the venue. Hayle delivers intricate details to Eden and Philip's adventures that certainly had me wishing for a Caribbean vacation. I love the different activities they participate in, each one subtly but cleverly playing a role on establishing a chemistry between them

Great Summer Read
Eden decides to honeymoon alone after finding out her fiance has been cheating with her best friend. She thinks she is going to spend two weeks reading and becoming her best self. Enter Phillip, the serious workaholic lawyer (who is also honeymooning alone) he invites, well crashes, her dinner one night in a funny, well written meet cute. After spending more time together, they decide to honeymoon together doing everything on their itineraries. Phillip is awed by his conversions with Eden and her ability to get him to put work aside. Eden is amazed how much she loves her adventurous "vacation self," and the two grow closer. This is a sweet summer beach vacation read if there ever was one. There is obvious chemistry and mutual attraction. The characters are well developed, and the detailed description of the location and activities makes you want to pack up and head to Barbados. My only complaints -I could have done without the misunderstanding towards the end. We knew they had to separate, so why do this? Personally, I am not a fan of unnecessary misunderstandings, and this was precisely that. However, it was resolved quickly, and the story did not suffer, thank goodness! (I realize I'm being vague, but I do not like to give spoilers in my reviews)I also would have loved it if this was dual POV so we could have had Phillips' thoughts as well. But truly, this is a light, sweet read from a great author, I definitely recommend this book.

LOVED!!
This book was a breath of fresh air after reading six moderately angst filled books and one that made me cry real tears lolI giggled so much during this one and the scene where she answers his phone and politely tells off his co-worker had me laughing so much I had to read it out-loud to my husband đđHighly recommend if you are looking for a super fun, flirty rom com with some really great banter as the two get to know each other better â€ïžâ€ïž

Cute Summer Read
Rating: âïžâïžâïžâïž.5Spice: đ¶I loved this story so much!Eden is my spirit animal. She decides that she's going to let go and do whatever the heck she wants on her vacation. She is hilarious with her quick comebacks and jokes. I love that she gained confidence throughout the book to just let loose and see what the day brings. Her relationship with Phillip started off in such a weird way, but they kept running into each other and he invited her on lots of cool excursions and the more they hung out, the more compatible they became. Phillip is a workaholic grump, but when he was with Eden, he let loose and enjoyed himself. She broke him out of his grumpiness, and he made her realize how funny and friendly she was. I loved how they could have serious conversations at times, then joke around and flirt at other times. They fell hard and fast for each other, but when ya know, ya know.

Just adorable
Awwwww this book was so darn cute . This book got me out of a reading funk . I felt like i was in Barbados experiencing all these adventures with Eden & Phillip . & i loved how the author properly ended their story. A lot of times in romance books , the authors rush the ends but this story was concluded beautifully

A lovely read
I enjoyed this book, a very sweet story about two people who had come to their honeymoon destination without their respective partners who had let them down one way or another.Eden was determined to enjoy every moment of her holiday, even if it took her out of her comfort zone. On her first night at dinner,a strange man pretended to know her to share the last available table. Phillip tried to engage her in conversation but it wasnât really his strong point. Heâs a lawyer, much happier on his phone working than interacting with happy people. Eden tries to convince him that he should relax and enjoy everything that Barbados has to offer but he doesnât think itâs worth the trouble. They keep meeting around the resort and gradually spend more time together, but they are both coming out of failed relationships and neither is looking for anything serious, are they.A nice story, a gentle pace with lots of romance. Perfect.

A good read
A good storyline, sad to start off with when Eden dumps her fiancé before her wedding when she finds out he has been cheating on her for months with her best friend, after shedding many tears and feeling furious she decides to go on her honeymoon alone as she needs to get away and for her it was a dream holiday she had organised for their honeymoon. On her first day in paradise she realises that many couples are there to celebrate their marriages and feels embarrassed to sit at a table on her own, until she is ambushed at the desk by Philip Meyer a grumpy workaholic. There begins their journey, she is feisty and he is grumpy but in the same situation, they end up going on many different excursions round the island together. Funny in parts, romantic and worth the read.

Delicious
This one surprised me. It's light, evocative and the dynamics almost realistic. This is a story that MIGHT have happened in RL, unlike so many. And it's written so deftly. The smut part is also not overdone or overshadowing the rest of the plot. The narrators voice is delightful. Yes some stuff is explicit, but this is a book you can recommend to more ppl than your very best friend

The perfect summer romance read
This was my first book by Olivia Hayle and definitely won't be my last! What are two people who are supposed to be on their honeymoons to do when they both find themselves on said trip solo? This is the perfect summer romance read, with a super likeable heroine and swoon-worthy hero, set in the tropical paradise that is Barbados. The grumpy/sunshine vibes are immaculate and the way that Phillip will follow Eden on her adventures just to see her happy is just so cute. I read this in two sittings as I just couldn't stop. I definitely reccomend this one as the perfect light, fun, romantic summer read, especially while sitting on the beach with a cold drink of choice.
