Easy to work with. - Easy to work with! But it would be nice if it there were an option to use these with PVC pipe. I built a 16 foot diameter dome, it collapsed with the first storm it was in, but it was the wood that broke and not the hubs. Don't use pine or any soft wood if you can avoid it!!! Unfortunately it was the only material in my budget so I took the risk. The good news is that the hubs can be re-used when I invest in stronger wood. I really feel like PVC would be ideal and I hope they add some kind of connector, there are DIYs out there but they're all pretty awkward to make work with these hubs. Review: Easy to follow instructions - This kit was excellent. We made it for a 12 foot diameter. The most difficult thing was cutting all of the brace pieces - and that only took about 30 minutes. Negative: Making adjustments to the sections so that all of the base laid flat was time consuming and frustrating even with two people; and moving it into its final position was also cumbersome. After removing the covering it is very easy loosen the bolt, then I slap the strut with the palm of my hand to knock it apart. You can start anywhere you wish but I start at the top and work down. **Q: What do people do for a door/entryway?** A: I usually allow one triangle to be open. Also, in their instructions they provide options for different configurations. I love the product. I only wish they made the same thing for 2x4 framing lumber. **Q: If you buy two can you make the dome bigger?** A: Hi, Thanks for your question. Any suggestions for material and how to attach it (simple wrap?)** A: Maybe you should look into Plexiglass. Also, lots of supporting info and photo gallery on their website for alternative doors/openings, covering materials, uses, etc. It's a fun build project.
